Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Slayers throw themselves into combat without hesitation and care for themselves. Their weapons sink deep into their enemies while they ignore their sense of self preservation.

Slayer

Beginning at 3rd level, your pool of Hit Dice is increased by an amount equal to your Strength Modifier (minimum of 1).

Exhaustive Cleaves

Beginning at 3rd Level, when hitting a creature with a melee weapon you may spend a Hit Die to increase the damage of the attack by an amount equal to a roll of that Hit Die. If you do so, you reduce your AC by an amount equal to your proficiency modifier. Does not stack.

Path of the Slayer

Beginning at 3rd level, you choose your path as a Slayer and specialize in your form of destruction. After a Long Rest you can change your path.

Giant Slayer

When hitting with a melee attack, you can increase the attacks damage by spending an additional Hit Die for Exhaustive Cleaves and add it to the damage.

Horde Waster

Your two-handed melee weapons cleave through multiple bodies and you cause intimidating devastation among your enemies. If you use a two-handed melee weapon or a versatile weapon that you wield with two hands you can attack an enemy as usual. However half the damage done to that target is caused to every creature within your melee range.

Savage Striker

If you choose this path and dual wield, you can make an attack whenever a creature enters or leaves your melee range without expending your reaction. This does not count as an attack of opportunity. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your strength modifier per Short Rest.

Reckless Blows

Beginning at 7th level, when using Exhaustive Cleaves to increase the damage of your attack, you can choose to take the average of that die rounded up (1d6 equals four, 1d8 equals five, 1d10 equals six and 1d12 equals seven), but suffer the same amount of damage that Hit Die caused.

On a critical Hit, you only suffer the damage from a single Hit Die instead of two.

Deepening the Path

Beginning at 10th level, you gain an additional benefit depending on the Path you have.

No Escape

You get access to this option when you are a Horde Waster. As an action you can spend a Hit Die. You then wildly swing your weapon and every creature within 20 feet of you has to make a Dexterity Saving Throw against your DC which equals 8 + your proficiency modifier + your strength modifier. On a failure they suffer 4d10 damage of the weapons damage type and their movement is halved until the start of your next turn. On a success they suffer half damage.

Savage Devastation

You gain access to this if you chose the Savage Striker path. Once per turn when you hit with a melee attack, you can spend a Hit Die to increase your damage. If you do so, the targets AC is reduced by the rolled amount until the start of your next turn.

Spine Crusher

You gain this benefit from being a Giant Slayer. You can now use 3 Hit Dice instead of 2 when using exhaustive Cleaves.

Powerful Stamina

Beginning at 10th level, after a Long Rest, you regain all of your Hit Dice. If you finish a Short Rest without having spent Hit Dice, the Slayer regains a number of Hit Dice equal to his Constitution Modifier.

Death Oath

Beginning at 15th level, you swear an Oath to never die of natural causes, only in combat. If you fall to 0 Hit Points, you do not fall unconscious and can keep fighting. However, you still have to make death Saving Throws. You stay in the fight until you have either 3 successes (upon which you fall unconscious), 3 failures (upon which you die) or roll a natural 20 (upon which you regain 1 Hit Point). You can benefit from this feature only once per Long Rest.

Frenzied Slayer

Beginning at 15th level, when under the influence of Death Oath, you critically hit a creature on a D20 Roll of 16 or higher with a melee weapon.

Payback

Beginning at 18th level, when being hit by a critical attack, you can use your reaction to unleash an entire Action of Close Combat Attacks. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Constitution Modifier per rest.
