Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

Your patron is you in a decades-distant future. Perhaps your future self found an artifact of great power connecting them to the past, which they must now lead you to discover, or perhaps they was taught the mystic arts by their future self long ago, and you will have to continue this cycle by teaching yourself someday. Your future self has forgotten the fine details of some things, and outright refuses to tell you about things you 'can't know yet,' but nonetheless offers compelling insight and guidance. You're not quite sure what they are planning for your future (and for their past), but one is certain - they need you alive.

Future You Quirks
Strange effects linger after communicating with your future self. You gain one of the following traits:

d6     Quirk
1     You often speak in the wrong tense.
2     You sometimes refer to a person you just met by name, before they've introduced themselves.
3     You often refer to yourself in the plural.
4     In certain lighting, you look much older than you are.
5     Seeing certain people alive can instantly reduce you to tears.
6     Your future fashion sense clashes completely with that of today.

Additional Cantrips

This class gains access to both the Guidance and Message cantrips. They count as warlock cantrips for you, but they don't count against your number of cantrips known.

It happened like this

Starting at 1st level, your discussions of the future with yourself have given you some periphery knowledge about how events played out. After you take a short or long rest roll one d10 + your charisma modifier and record the number rolled. You can add or subtract the number from any attack roll, saving throw, or ability check made by you or a creature that you can see with one of these foretelling rolls. The number of foretelling rolls increases to two at 6th level and three at 14th level.

Once you take a long rest, all foretelling rolls are lost.

I'd like a few less scars

At 6th level, your future self often warns you of particular attacks to watch out for. When you or an ally within 30ft of you is targeted by an attack you can use your reaction to add a bonus to their AC equal to 1d8 + your charisma modifier.

You can use this ability 3 times per short rest.

Don't count on it.

Starting at 10th level, once per round when you ally within 30ft hit with an attack or spell attack roll you can use your reaction to make an additional spell attack against the same enemy. When you do so, a version of you cascades through time and casts a spell towards the target, forcing them to make a dexterity saving throw or take 4d6 force damage, halved on a success. On a failed save, the target's next attack, saving throw or ability check is at disadvantage.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) before a long rest

Paradox

As an action, you can summon forth the knowledge of future events to cause a paradox. Force a target within 30ft of you to make an intelligence saving throw against your warlock spell save DC. The target takes 2d6 psychic damage and, on a fail, is paralysed for one minute or until concentration is broken (as if you were concentrating on a spell).

Once this feature is used, it cannot be used again until a long rest.
