Base Class: Bard
Bonus Proficiencies
You gain proficiency in the nature and survival skills and all skill checks with them are doubled.
Wooden Apprentice
Starting at 3rd level, a small shrub with an appearance of your choice sprouts from a seed and grows interested in your music. This shrub has the stats and abilities of an awakened shrub, but has a modifier of +2 Charisma and also knows the cantrip thorn whip or poison spray. If the shrub reaches 0 hit points, it reverts to a seed and cannot be grown again until after a long rest with water and sunlight. The shrub rolls initiative like everyone else but you decide what the shrub does each turn, no action needed. Shrub is always 2 levels below your bard level.
Shrub hit points
Hit dice: 1d4 per bard level Hit points at 3rd level: 3d6 Hit points at higher levels: 1d4 each level after 3rd
Forests Accompaniment
The shrub has learnt much from you and can now cast its own spells using an instrument as a spellcasting focus, however, the shrub cannot play any instruments that require breathing. If you are only proficient in instruments that do require breathing, you may become proficient in a percussion or string instrument now. The shrub has its own spell slots, listed below. It can only learn spells that you already know or specific shrub spells when it reaches the level necessary to cast that spell. You cannot change spells that the shrub knows. The shrub cannot cast necromancy or any form of fire spell. It recovers its spell slots after a long rest.

Faunas Duet
The Bard and shrub both now understand the song that the forest truly yearns for. They can perform a duet which causes all plants to dance.
- If there are trees near by, they will uproot, creating difficult terrain and put all those in the area off balance. Those in the area must make a dexterity check or fall prone.
- If there are flowers near by, enemies must make a constitution saving throw or fall asleep, become blinded or poisoned at the dungeon masters choice.
- If there are vines, the enemy must make a strength check or become restrained.
- If there are bushes nearby, any who try to pass through them will take 1d6 piercing damage.
- If there are any plants that can grow fruit, they do instantaneously. Any who eat this fruit feel revitalised and heal 1d6 hit points per fruit, but it takes a turn to eat it.
This ability can only be used once after a long rest and requires 1 min of concentration from both the bard and the shrub.
