Base Class: Sorcerer
Your magic comes from your ties to the Plane of Fire, Flame Elementals, the Nine Hells, or other blazing infernos of fire magic. Your magic is powerful, able to drown your foes in seas of astonishing crimson, and raze entire towns in a roaring inferno. However it's also very dangerous. Fire is a powerful element, representing courage, bravery, but also hunger. You must be careful in your application of this power, lest everything you hold dear go up in flames.
Such sorcerers are wanderers by necessity. The volatile nature of their magic makes other folk nervous. If a fire breaks out in town, a pyromancy sorcerer had best flee, whether guilty or not. Fire is a dangerous force, and pyromancy sorcerers have a reputation (deserved or not) for reckless behavior.
Flaming Soul Features
| Sorcerer Level | Feature |
|---|---|
| 1st | Ignite, Inflame |
| 6th | Cauterize, Rekindle |
| 14th | Nourishing Flame |
| 18th | Fiery Soul |
Ignite
At 1st level, you gain the ability to start fires with a touch. As an action, you can magically ignite a flammable object you touch with your hand—an object such as a torch, a piece of tinder, or the hem of drapes— that isn't being carried or worn.
Inflame
At 1st level, when you cast a sorcerer spell that deals fire damage, you can spend a number of sorcery points equal to the spell level (1 if it is a cantrip) to add your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) to one damage roll of that spell, and ignore fire resistance.
Rekindle
Once per turn starting at 6st level, when you deal fire damage that reduces a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you may recover sorcery points equal to the spell level (1 if it is a cantrip).
Cauterize
Starting at 6th level, the fiery energy within you empowers your spells, growing restless and vengeful. In the face of defeat, it surges outward to preserve you in a fiery roar.
If you are reduced to 0 hit points, you can use your reaction to draw on the flames to save you from death. You are instead reduced to 1 hit point and gain 10 temporary hit points that last for one hour.
Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Nourishing Flame
Starting at 14th level, your fire spells close wounds and restore you. When you expend a spell slot to cast a spell that includes a fire damage roll, you can use one sorcery point to regain hit points equal to the slot’s level + half your Charisma modifier.
Fire Mastery
At 18th level, you gain resistance to fire and cold damage. In addition, any spell or effect you create treats any 1 on a damage die as a 2, and immunity to fire damage as resistance to fire damage.
