Base Class: Sorcerer
You are a creature of shadow and blood, for your innate magic comes from the deadly vampire. You might trace your lineage from an ancestor whose blood was tainted with a vampire. Possibly you were a part of a dark ceremony against your will that changed you, or perhaps you were bitten by a vampire and survived the transformation but its effects transformed your being.
The power of vampiric magic casts a strange pall over your physical presence. The spark of life that sustains you is muffled by a naturally dark desire, as if it struggles against the predatory magic that imbues your soul.
At your option, you can pick from or roll on the Vampiric Sorcerer Quirks table to create a quirk for your character.
Vampiric Sorcerer Quirks:
d6 Quirks
1: You are always icy cold to the touch.
2: You have a habit of staring at people for way too long without blinking.
3: You often and gently bite your lip, regardless of who you are around or talking to.
4: You prefer to sneak around and stand behind others without their notice.
5: You prefer to stand in darkened and shadow filled spaces.
6: Your pupils reflect a faint red glow when in the dark.
Eyes of the Predator
Beginning at 1st level, your vampiric magic allows you to see within darkness differently than most common creatures.
You can see normally in darkness, both magical and nonmagical, to a distance of 120 feet.
Blood of Thy Enemy
Beginning at 1st level, your innate magic causes a change so that you may sustain yourself on the lifeforce stored within your foes.
As an action, you can make a melee spell attack against a creature within your reach. On a hit, the target takes necrotic damage based on the scale below, and you regain hit points equal to half the amount of necrotic damage dealt(minimum of 1).
This ability has no effect on undead or constructs. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus. You gain all expended uses after a long rest.
Blood of Thy Enemy Scale
1st: 1 d 6
5th: 2 d 6
11th: 4 d 6
17th: 8 d 6
Creature of the Night
Your innate magic begins to transform you, closer to resembling an undead nocturnal predator.
Beginning at 6th level, you are resistant to necrotic damage. Additionally, you don't require food, water, or sleep.
To gain the benefits of a long rest, you can spend all 8 hours doing light activity such walking around, reading, and keeping watch.
Dark Revelation
Beginning at 14th level, you can unleash the vampiric truths hidden within your bloodthirsty soul.
As a bonus action, you can spend 1 or more sorcery points to magically transform yourself for 1 minute. For each sorcery point you spend, you can gain one of the following benefits of your choice, the effects of which last until the transformation ends:
• You gain the ability to move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings while leaving your hands free.
• You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed and can hover.
• You gain advantage on Charisma(intimidation) and Charisma(persuasion) checks.
• You are aware of the location of any hidden or invisible creatures within 60 feet of you.
Vampiric Avatar
Beginning at 18th level, you become the embodiment of your vampiric bloodline and gain the following features:
You cannot be frightened or charmed. You become Immune to necrotic damage.
For every 10 years that pass, your body only ages 1 year.
When you attack a creature with your Blood of Thy Enemy feature, add your charisma modifier to the total damage.
Creatures that are charmed or frightened by you are inflicted with double damage.
If a small or medium creature drops to 0 hit points from your Blood of Thy Enemy feature, you can spend a sorcery point as a bonus action and animate it, causing it to stand up immediately . The creature uses the zombie stat block in the Monster Manual.
In combat, the zombie's turn comes immediately after yours. It obeys your mental commands and the only action it can take is the Attack action, making one melee attack.
It remains animate for 1 hour, after which time it collapses and dies.
