Monk
Base Class: Monk

The sands have been a place of piece and protection. Now you use the sands to protect you on your journey.

Sand Spells

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can use your ki to duplicate the effects of certain spells. As an action, you can spend 2 ki points to cast from a list of spells, without providing material components. Additionally, you gain the minor illusion and mold earth cantrip if you don’t already know it.

Earthen Weapons

At third level, when you choose this Monastic Tradition, as a bonus action, you gain the ability to form any weapon from sand or earth. You become proficient with that weapon and they count as monk weapons. If the weapon leaves your hand for more than 6 seconds, the weapon crumbles into a pile of sand/earth.

Spray Sand

After a successful attack against you, as a reaction, you may use 1 ki points to spray sand at the attacker if they are within 10ft of you. The creature must make a Constitution save with DC = 8 + Proficiency + Wisdom modifier. On a failed save, the creature is blinded until the end of their next turn.

Earthen Step

At 6th level, when you are on sand, or exposed earth, as a bonus action, you may teleport to a place of exposed sand, or earth, within 60ft of you. If you appear within 5ft of a creature, your next attack has advantage on the attack roll.

Dust Devil

At 11th level, as an action, you surround yourself with swirling winds. All attacks against you have disadvantage for one minute. You can hover up to 5ft above the ground and increase your movement by 10ft. You also restore your proficiency number of Ki points.

Once you use this ability, you cannot do so again until after a long rest.

Sandstorm

At 17th level, you gain tremorsense and can permanently gain the effects of Dust Devil. When Dust Devil is active, you gain a burrow speed of half your normal speed, along with Earthglide. Also, any unfriendly creature that ends its turn within 5ft of you takes 1d6 piercing damage as sand pierces their skin. As a bonus action, for each ki point spent, you may increase the damage by 1d6 for 1 minute.
