Base Class: Paladin
The Oath of Reckoning is a vow to swiftly bring to justice the enemies of the Boros Legion. As the Boros Legion is tasked with defending Ravnica as a whole from outside threats, this vow extends to any force that may pose a threat to the city-world's Guildpact. Paladins who have taken the oath, called Reckoners, are granted terrifying powers of lightning by the Firemane Angels of the Boros Legion. Boros Reckoners combine physical power and magical prowess, serving as the shock troops of the legion. They are adept at breaking up mobs and organized lines of defense. Sometimes described as living thunderstorms, Reckoners charge their bodies with lightning that bursts forth in their spells and lashes out at enemies who harm them. Many Reckoners are minotaurs.
TENETS OF RECKONING
The tenets of the Oath of Reckoning are given by the angels of the legion.
Justice. Swiftly deliver justice like a bolt of lightning.
Glory. Display your righteousness like a crack of thunder.
Zeal. Let your faith fuel you with the fury of a raging storm.
Purification. Only the chosen ones are spared.

Conduit of Justice
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you become a conduit for righteous lightning. All radiant damage you deal becomes lightning damage instead, and you can launch punishing streaks of lightning from your hands.
Reckoner's Shock. You gain a ranged spell attack with a range of 30 feet that you can use with the Attack action if you have a free hand. You are proficient with it, and you add your Charisma modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is lightning, and its damage die is a d4. You have advantage on the attack roll if the target damaged you since your last turn. On a hit, the target can't take reactions until the start of its next turn, and you may use your Divine Smite feature.
At 11th level, your Improved Divine Smite feature applies to this attack.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Shockbind. When you grapple, you can use your Channel Divinity to make your reach 30 feet for this grapple, as you lash cords of lightning from your hand to the target and bind it in crackling tendrils. Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained, it can't take reactions, and on each of your turns, you may use a bonus action to either pull it up to 10 feet towards you or knock it prone.
Lightning Helix. As an action, you can use your Channel Divinity to manifest a double helix of opposed energy beams linking yourself to one creature that you can see within 90 feet of you. The target must make a Constitution saving throw and takes lightning damage equal to 4d6 + your paladin level on a failed saving throw, and half as much on a successful one. You regain hit points equal to the damage dealt.
Lightning Backlash
Starting at 7th level, you electrically charge your body to retaliate against creatures that strike you.
When a creature within 10 feet of you hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to deal it lightning damage equal to half the damage dealt by the attack.
At 18th level, the range increases to 30 feet.
Living Thunderstorm
Starting at 15th level, lightning runs through your veins. You have advantage on initiative rolls and resistance to lightning and thunder damage, and you gain the following ability.
Lightning Step. As a bonus action, you can teleport to an unoccupied space you can see within 90 feet of you. When you arrive, you create a flash of light and a thunderous boom which can be heard up to 300 feet away. Each creature other than you within 10 feet must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, a creature is blinded and deafened until the end of your next turn. Once you use this action, you can't use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
Avatar of Reckoning
At 20th level, you can assume the form of a divine being made of lightning. Using your action, you undergo a transformation. For 10 minutes, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a flying speed of 60 feet and can hover.
- You have immunity to lightning and thunder damage.
- When a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, or when a creature touches you or is touching you at the beginning of its turn, it takes lightning damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
- When you deal lightning damage to a Large or smaller creature, you can also push it up to 10 feet away from you.
Once you use this action, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest.
