Base Class: Monk
A body is like a temple. A temple that needs care and attention. A temple that can grant power. Monks of the Way of the Temple train their body to always preform at peek potential. Their body is their weapon and they now how to make good use of it. Some of them spend their time meditating at the top of mountains, others seek to find answers about the universe they live in. Some monks become so in link with their mind and body that they can have limited influence other bodies or even the essence of the cosmos around them. Wherever they are on their path to enlightenment, they are a powerful ally to have on your side.
The Universe Provides
You no longer need to eat, sleep or drink.
You still gain the normal benefits of a short and long rest, but instead of sleeping you are meditating. You remain partially conscious while taking a long rest in this way.
Full Body Control
When you use your Flurry of Blows you can imbue your unarmed strikes with different elements. Your fist stay this way until the start of your next turn. Chose one of the options below, at 6th and 11th level you can chose an additional option.
Fist of Fury
You create immense body heat to set your fists ablaze. Your unarmed attacks now deal fire damage and have a range of 10 feet until the start of your next turn.
Fist of the Mantaray
You get rid of all the heat in your arms, making them cold as ice. Your unarmed attacks now deal ice damage until the start of your next turn, and reduce a creature's speed by 10 feet until the start of your next turn.
Fist of the Storm
Your nerve system conducts focused electricity. Your unarmed attacks now deal lightning damage until the start of your next turn. You have advantage on the attack roll if the target is wearing armor made of metal.
Adrenaline Rush
As an action you can spend 4 ki points to send massive amounts of adrenaline through your body. For the next minute you gain the following benefits:
- You gain 10 feet of movement speed.
- You gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage from non magical attacks.
- You add your Wisdom modifier to one of your unarmed attack rolls.
After using this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
Ki Therapy
You learn to help others with your knowledge about the body.
During a short rest, you can spend ki points to rid one creature of one level of exhaustion. Chose how many ki points you are going to use op to a maximum of 3 and then roll a 1d4. If you roll the amount of ki points you spend or lower, you rid the creature of it’s exhaustion. If its higher nothing happens.
After using this feature you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
Cosmic Beatdown
You attack without violence nor rage as you strike in sync with the cosmos.
As a action, you can imbue your strikes with the essence of the world around you. Make a unarmed attack against a creature. If you hit, you fling the psyche of the creature out of his body and into the Astral Plain. While in this state the creature can’t take any actions, bonus actions or reactions, but also can’t take any damage. It remains in this state for three turns. After that its psyche returns and this feature cannot be used on this creature again. You can only use this feature on one creature at a time.
