Monk
Base Class: Monk

Once followers of the Way of Shadow, the Shadow Boxers quickly tired of the order's insistence on subterfuge and, what they considered, cowardice. They split to form their own tradition, which sought to utilize the power of shadows for more direct, honorable combat. The resulting style became known as Shadow Boxing, blending the power of shadow and darkness with the physical prowess of its wielder.

Shadow Sight

At 3rd level, you gain the ability to see through shadows. You are granted darkvision up to 60 ft. If you already possess darkvision, your develop superior darkvision, extending your sight up to 120 ft.

Shadow Boxing

At 3rd level, your training to use shadows for offensive power reaches a new level. For 1 Ki point per opponent, you are able to box their shadow. You may target an opponent's shadow as its physical body. You ignore any resistances or immunities the target has, and you may attempt any Action against their shadow that you would against them.

This can only be used when shadows are visible.

Shadow Step

At 6th level, you gain the ability to step from one shadow into another. When you are in dim light or darkness, as a bonus action you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see that is also in dim light or darkness. You then have advantage on the first melee attack you make before the end of the turn.

At 12th level, this increases to 80 feet.

Me and My Shadow

At 11th level, using 3 Ki points, you can split your Shadow from your body to act according to your will. Your Shadow becomes an independent creature, acting under your instructions (does not count as an action or bonus action). The Shadow has the following: health equal to half of its owner's maximum hitpoints, an AC of 12, a movement speed of 30 ft., and ability scores equal to its owner's. The Shadow can make two unarmed attacks per turn (using its owner's stats). If the Shadow reaches 0 hitpoints, it returns to its owner. If the Shadow ends a round more than 60 ft. from its owner, it returns to its owner.

This ability can be used twice per long rest and only when the user's shadow is visible.

Shadow Thief

At 17th level, your mastery of shadows allows you to extend your control to the shadows of others. Using 5 Ki points, you can steal the shadow of a target creature. You may then command it as you would your own using the Me and My Shadow skill, though it will keep the ability scores of the targeted creature. If the Shadow reaches 0 hitpoints or ends a round more than 60 ft. from its owner, it returns to the target and cannot be stolen again until you have completed a long rest.

This skill can only be used when shadows are visible.
