Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

You have made a connection with the very plants and earth hearing an ancient presence. The Elder Wood is the collective of fungus and roots that interconnects every plant on the planet. After millions of years of decomposing and collecting the corpses of living beings, the hive mind gained the ability to collect souls. The area where the Elder Wood is at its highest power is known as corruption. You connect to this network with your own mind gaining the knowledge and power of millions of years of evolution since a time before the earliest animals gained the bravery to step onto land. The intentions or sentience of the Elder Wood are unknown, even the most powerful of druids may not know of its presence. For it does not reveal itself to just anyone, it watches and waits. So if you think the very land seems to...talk to you or.. hear you, you may have caught the interest of the Elder Wood.

Corrupted Blood

Starting at 1st level, whenever you make a melee attack against a creature you can choose to force them to make a constitution saving throw. On a failure, microscopic spores infest the creature's bloodstream causing them to take 1d6 poison damage at the end of their next turn. The spores multiply and spread through the creature's body even infesting the air around them. Whenever any other creature starts their turn within 5 ft of the infected creature they must also make a Constitution saving throw or be infected with corrupted blood as well. Once you use this ability you can use your bonus action to disengage.

Mycelium

Starting at 6th level, once per long rest, you can connect to the Elder Wood directly. You root yourself in place as mycelium fibres grow around you. You gain 600 ft of tremor sense. You are able to determine the size, speed, direction and how many creatures there are within that radius. You are able to identify a specific creature if you are familiar with them and have interacted with them in person.

Curse of the Redwood

Starting at 10th level, you touch a carcass that has not been dead for more than a few hours. The body begins to be slowly wrapped with wooden vines as the body and soul turns into a redwood tree over the course of the next year. You are able to draw on the life force of this tree as soon as you plant it and have a pool of healing available to you. You gain 1d8 to this pool when you plant a redwood tree and expend one or more of these die to heal an ally or yourself. One redwood tree only provides 1d8 and the only way to regain or add dice to your pool is to plant more redwood trees.

One with the Elder Wood

Starting at 14th level, your connection with the Elder Wood grows to its peak. You can cast the speak with plants spell at will and are able to use your Mycelium ability an amount of times equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of 1).
