Path of the War Chanter

Many warriors use chants to instil fear in their enemies and courage in their allies. Those who follow the Path of the War Chanter are trained to use their voice, mixed with their rage, to help their allies and rebuff their enemies.

Battle Chant

Starting when you choose this path at 3rd level, you use your anger to begin a war chant which rouses your allies and intimidates your enemies. The war chant effects creature within 20ft of you. When you enter a rage, you gain the following benefits

• Friendly creatures within the effected range deal additional damage equal to your bonus rage damage on all spell and weapon attacks.
• Hostile creatures within the effected range have disadvantage when attacking creatures other than you.

The chant has no effect if the target can't hear you.

Invigorating Chant

Beginning at 6th level you learn to use your chants rally your allies and get them ready to fight. When you first enter range, allies within the effective area of your Battle Chant gain temporary hitpoints equal to your barbarian level.

Inspiring Chants

Beginning at 10th level you learn how to inspire your allies with your chants. Friendly creatures (including you) within the effective area of your battle chant gain advantage on saving throws to resist being charmed or frightened. 

Terrifying Chant

Beginning at 14th level you learn to channel your aggression into your chant expertly, and can use it to frighten your enemies. As an action, you can force each hostile creature that can hear you within the effective area of your war chant to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your charisma modifier). On a failure the creature is frightened of you for the next minute. On a success the creature is not frightened. A creature can make another saving throw to resist the effect at the end of its turn or when it takes damage. Once this feature has been used, it can be used again you take a long rest.
