Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of Wrath calls to paladins that relish on the sight of destruction and the sounds of battle. Always aiming for bigger and more dangerous foes, paladins that partake this oath don't care whom they serve, as long as perilous conflict awaits. They wield a blade of chaos and don an armor painted with blood, with pride they march onwards, in search of their next target. For it is only slaughter that can quench their rage. It is only carnage that comes from their wrath.

It is common for these paladins to consort with entities of chaos; From elder primordials of ice and flame, to demon princes, to gods of strength and battle. Their servitude always flows to places with danger, but it is almost guaranteed to find these paladins in wars, making up the ranks of orc hordes, barbaric pillagers or fiendish platoons at the blood war.

Tenets of Wrath

The tenets of the Oath of Wrath may vary by paladin, but all the tenets are related to fighting dangerous skirmishes and spreading chaos with your endless ire. Paladins who uphold these tenets rarely have any ulterior motives than taking the world by storm with their might, because of that they are often chaotic neutral or chaotic evil in alignment. The core principles of the tenets are the following:

  • Destruction. You shall sow destruction, only death shall be left in your wake.
  • Power. Your power is your pride, for it is a symbol of your fury.
  • Strife. Seek bloody combat, find stronger foes. Nothing shall keep you from carnage.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Chaotic Weapon. As an action, you can imbue one weapon that you are holding with chaotic energy, using your Channel Divinity. For 1 minute,  once per turn, you can add your Charisma modifier to damage rolls made with that weapon (with a minimum bonus of +1), the damage is either acid, cold, fire, lightning or thunder. If the weapon is not already magical, it becomes magical for the duration.
You can end this effect on your turn as part of any other action. If you are no longer holding or carrying this weapon, or if you fall unconscious, this effect ends.

Incite Carnage. You can use your Channel Divinity, to awaken the primal rage that stirs within creatures around you. As an action, you choose number of allies up to your Charisma modifier (minimum of 1) within 30 feet of you, those allies can use their reaction to make one weapon attack against a creature of your choice that you can see.
