Base Class: Ranger
Rangers are known for stalking the wilds and tracking beasts of nature. But some Rangers know that cities are just as savage and dangerous as the surrounding wilds. These Renegades are mostly known for their work in association with rebels as guerilla fighters, where their ability to track targets and engage with hit-and-run tactics works well with rebel methods. The urban style the Renegade embodies works best in large cities and metropolises, but anywhere with enclosed spaces and lots of verticality serves them well, where they use a mixture of both light melee weapons and quick projectiles to take down their targets.
Urban Traveller
The winding alleys and towers of cities are simply a manmade forest, and you have learned to move through those faux boughs with ease. Starting at 3rd level, you gain the following benefits:
- You gain a climbing speed equal to half your walking speed.
- You are immune to falling damage from a height of 15 feet or less.
Additionally, Urban environments become an option for your Natural Explorer Feature, conferring all standard benefits when within your favored terrain. When selecting this option at 3rd level, you can choose to immediately replace your previous favored terrain choice with the Urban option.
Quickdraw
At 3rd level, you can quickly draw prepared weapons for a blindingly fast attack. Once per turn, after you make a melee attack using one-hand, you can make a free attack with a ranged weapon lacking the heavy property. This free attack comes immediately after the melee attack.
Elusiveness
At 7th level, you gain proficiency in either the Athletics or Acrobatics skill. If you already have proficiency in the selected skill, you gain expertise instead. The skill you choose must be one that isn't already benefiting from a feature that doubles your proficiency bonus.
Additionally, when you are forced to make a saving throw to avoid or escape an enemy's grapple, you can add your Wisdom modifier to the roll. Finally, your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
Guerrilla Tactics
At 11th level, you have grown acclimated to combat within and around city structures. You gain both of the following abilities:
Death from Above
When you make an attack roll with a ranged weapon, if you are at least 10 feet above your target, you gain advantage on the attack roll, and your attacks deal an additional 1d6 damage of the weapon's damage type.
Knife at your Back
Your weapon attacks with a weapon using one-hand score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20. Additionally, if you have advantage on the attack roll, you deal an additional 1d6 damage of the weapon's damage type.
Swift Precision
At 15th level, you've learned to go for the opponent's weak points in the heat of combat. When you use your Quickdraw feature, you now target the opponent's eyes, forcing them to make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failure, the target is blinded until the beginning of your next turn.
Additionally, if you successfully land 3 attacks in a single round, you may instantly move up to half of your base movement speed. This movement does not provoke opportunity attacks.
