Bruiser

Bruisers are simple warriors who rely on mighty attacks and their own durability to overcome their enemies. Some bruisers combine this physical might with tactical cunning. Others just hit things until those things stop hitting back.

Brute Force

3rd-level Bruiser feature

You’re able to strike with especially brutal force when you are injured. You deal an extra 1d6 damage to a target whenever you hit it with a weapon attack when you are below three-quarters of your hit point maximum (rounded up). This damage increases to 2d6 when you are below half your hit point maximum, or 3d6 when you are below quarter of your hit point maximum (rounded up).

Shrug it Off

7th-level Bruiser feature

Your toughness allows you to shrug off assaults that would devastate others. Whenever you make a saving throw, you gain a bonus to the saving throw equal to your Constitution modifier (minimum of +1). If applying this bonus to a death saving throw increases the total to 20 or higher, you gain the benefits of rolling a 20 on the d20.

Spiteful Strike

10th-level Bruiser feature

You unleash your fury against any wouldby assassin. When a creature forces you to make a saving throw and succeed or a creature misses you with an attack roll, you can use your reaction to move up to your movement speed without provoking opportunity attacks and make one weapon attack against the creature with advantage.

Get Behind Me

15th-level Bruiser feature

You can protect others from harm at the cost of your own health. When a creature within 5 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to take that damage, instead of that creature taking it, and you have resistance to that instance of damage. This feature doesn’t transfer any other effects that might accompany the damage.

Unbreakable

18th-level Bruiser feature

You attain the pinnacle of resilience in battle. At the start of each of your turns, you gain temporary hit points equal to 5 + your Constitution modifier if you have no more than half of your hit points left. You don’t gain this benefit if you have 0 hit points.
