Base Class: Barbarian
Coming from the coldest reaches in the world, these warriors have perfected an incredible technique they apply with a strong will fueled by a terrifying anger.
Charge
Beginning at 3rd level, while you are raging, you can use a bonus action to move up to your movement speed towards an enemy you can see.
Highlander's Battle Stance
Also at 3rd level, you learn the incredible fighting style of the Highlander Barbarians and implement it to your combat. While raging, you can choose to enter one of two stances that you can switch between as a bonus action:
Offensive Stance. You can use your rage damage bonus as normal. While in this stance, you can't add your rage damage bonus to your AC.
Defensive Stance. You can increase your AC by a number equal to your rage damage bonus. While in this stance, you can't add your rage damage bonus to your damage rolls.
Highlander's Resolve
Beginning at 6th level, you can’t be charmed or frightened while raging. If you are charmed or frightened when you enter your rage, the effect is suspended for the duration of the rage.
War Cry
Beginning at 10th level, you can use a bonus action to release a bellowing war cry to inspire your allies. Each creatures of your choosing within 60ft of you, that can hear you, become inspired by you until the start of your next turn. While, inspired in this way, they can dash as a bonus action and gain advantage on their first first attack roll made on each of their turns. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Precise Stance
Also at 10th level, you gain a new stance granted to you by your Highlander's Battle Stance feature. This Precise Stance can be activated as a bonus action while raging, and allows you to add your rage damage bonus to your attack rolls instead of your damage rolls or AC.
Crashing Charge
Starting at 14th level, when you perform a charge against a large or smaller creature using your bonus action and you have run 20ft already, you can sacrifice the rest of your movement to force them to make a strength saving throw, DC = 8 + your strength modifier + your proficiency bonus, to make them move 10ft directly away from you and fall prone. (You can choose for only one of these effects to occur if you so desire).

Posted Mar 2, 2021Hey! I think this is a really good interpretation of Highlander from For Honor! But I’m just here to give some feedback.
For the stances, I would make it that you can double your rage bonus for your damage rolls and then defensive stance is adding your rage bonus to your AC., but losing it on your damage. Just a thought.
I think Precise Stance is pretty unique and cool.
As for Crashing Charge, I’m pretty sure Warlord won’t be happy about that lol. You can always try to translate Champions Aura or something. Hope this was useful!

Posted Dec 13, 2020Disclaimer: My name is Raphael & I am using D&D beyond to easily catalogue some of the classes I have been homebrewing. Now in all honesty, quite a lot of my homebrew is either directly taken or influenced by pre-existing homebrew. I am just using this space to easily keep track of my homebrew subclasses that I use in my specific world that I’ve created. Most of the homebrew is homebrew I actually made myself, however if you would like to use it or catalogue it for yourself, please feel free to!
