Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians who walk the Path of the Immolator draw their rage from their discipline. Some by setting themselves on fire remind themselves of their past sorrows or mistakes and teach themselves to bear them. Others do so to honor someone or something in their life that is worth the heat of the flame. And then there are those that are just plain insane. These barbarians can endure more than most as they are their own worst enemy.

I am working on playtesting this subclass and others of mine. I would appreciate insight on any immediate red flags I failed to find or places where I failed to properly communicate the feature.

Immolation Elation

When you choose this archetype at 3rd Level, you learn an enhanced rage that is fueled by special dice called Immolation dice. When you rage you can choose to self-immolate. If you do so, you gain the following effects:

  • Burning. Take Immolation Die damage at the time you rage and at the start of each of your turns until your rage ends.
  • Flaming Weapon. When you damage another creature, add your Immolation Die as fire damage.
  • Radiance. You shed bright light in a 15 foot radius and dim light for an additional 15 feet.

At specific levels, your immolation dice change. A d8 at 6th level, a d10 at 10th level, and a d12 at 14th level.

Charred Skin

At 6th level, you gain resistance to fire damage.

Fiery Sacrifice

At 6th level, while you are under the effects of Immolation Elation, when you reduce a hostile creature to 0 hit points, you regain hit points equal to your Immolation Die +  your Constitution modifier.

Burning Feet

At 10th level, while you are under the effects of Immolation Elation your movement speed increases by 15 feet.

As a free action, you may take immolation die damage and increase your movement speed by 15 feet for one turn. You may do this as many times as your constitution modifier per long rest.

Shared Passion

Beginning at 14th level, while you are under the effects of Immolation Elation, hostile creatures within 5 ft of you take immolation die damage the first time they enter the area or at the start of their turn.
