Base Class: Sorcerer
Inkhearts are, well inky sorcerers. They use the power of ink to fuel their spells.
Calligrapher's Mimicry
At first level, you gain the ability to learn a language (both script and speech) by looking at the written version of the language for at least ten minutes. You can also mimic handwriting, providing you've seen it.
Inky Absorption
Starting at 1st level, you have resistance to nonmagical piercing, slashing, and bludgeoning damage. You can also expend 2 sorcery points to take no damage from an attack that deals nonmagical piercing, slashing, or bludgeoning damage.
Colorful Spells
Starting at 6th level, you can swap damage types of spell attacks, using sorcery points equal to the spell level. A cantrip costs one sorcery point, as well as a first level spell. Any other spells of different levels correlate directly to their level.
Body Modifications
At 14th Level, you gain the ability to manifest some beast's features into your form. These last for 1d8 hours, or you can dismiss them. At 14th level, you can shift 3 features instead of 2, and at 18th you can shift 6. You can dismiss these for a bonus action, things like the Warhammer or Arm Blade make your hand occupied for the time you have them.
Your list of available shifts are:
-Wings (30ft flying speed)
-Fins (30ft swimming speed)
-Horns (1d6 piercing on a headbutt)
-Claws (1d6 slashing)
-Tentacles (See whip stat block)
-Warhammer, (From arm, see Warhammer stat block)
-Arm blade (From hand, looks like a pata; see rapier stat block)
Any and all of these things are made out of ink and deal acid damage. In the event you pierce someone's skin with them, they are under the Poisoned condition for 1 day.
Living Canvas
At 18th level, you gain the ability to engrave runes on people's skin with spells. When doing this, you will expend a spell slot of the level of the spell (cantrips don't expend spell slots in this instance) while you're making the rune. These runes can be triggered at any time, by you or the person, the runes are on. The runes are single-use. You can also make Dragonmarks on people (see Ebberon). If the person is not you and triggers a spell attack rune, they must make the spell attack and roll for the damage with their own abilities.
