Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

For some mages, just focussing on a single school of magic isn't the best option. Usually the fastest learners in magic school, those wizards train hard to memorize the intricate procedure for the most spells they have access to, this converts into a very adaptable spellcaster who has always the right spell ready to cast. Those who master this technique can also concentrate on two spells at the same time and have a better handle at keeping it.

Refined Studies

Starting at 2nd level, you learn an additional spell every time you level up as a wizard, plus you can an additional number of spells prepared equal to your bonus proficiency. Being used to study a lot, you need only 6 hours to complete a long rest, unless you already need less.

Learning by observation

Beginning at 2nd level, when you can both see and hear clearly a creature within 30 feet of you cast a spell on the wizard spell list, you can remember the way it is casted even if you don't have it in your learned spells, provided you have at least one spell slot of that level. You can use this feature once a day and you can recall this spell until you make a long rest, temporarily adding it to your prepared spells (it does not count against the max number of prepared spells. If you use this feature 3 times on the same level, you can add it to your spellbook for half the price and time, if you use it 5 times you can add it for free in a third of the time.

Superior focus

Starting at level 6, your mind can handle the stress better than most spellcasters and your ability to maintain control of your spells becomes more reliable. You gain a number of "focus points" equal to your INT modifier, you can expend 1 point to gain advantage on a concentration saving throw (before rolling dice) or 3 points to automatically pass it. Regain all expended points after a long rest

Multitasking

Starting at level 10, your brain can compute multiple magical processes without losing grip on the magic flow. You can now cast a second spell requiring concentration when you are already concentrating on another spell. While doing so, your speed is halved, and can only use actions and bonus actions to control those spells. If both spells require you to use an action or a bonus action to create an effect during the duration, your action and bonus action counts for both spells at the same time.

When you get damaged, you roll a single saving throws for both spells, you can use your superior focus feature but the cost of "focus points" is doubled.

Massive Brain Engine

Reaching level 17, you are now so used to make multiple and heavy mental tasks that you can go beyond the normal brain limitations. While you are concentrated on multiple spells you are no longer need to use your action to keep them functioning, instead, you can normally take actions and bonus action (except to use spells of level 6 or above).

When you cast a level 3rd or lower spell with concentration you can use your "focus points" during the spell casting to ignore the concentration property, it will last until dispelled or after the duration ends. This can be used any number of times, provided you have enough spell slots and focus points.

Focus points required:

  • 1st level spell - 1 point
  • 2nd level spell - 2 points
  • 3rd level spell - 4 points
