You have made a pact with a celestial guardian, a Warden Archon. These giant bear spirits are fierce protectors of the celestial plane, and only offer pacts to those they believe are pure of heart. They seek to be the shield defending good from evil, and now as a pactmaker, you are sworn to that aim as well.

Expanded Spell List

The Guardian lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

Shield of Thorns

As a reaction, you can summon a shield of thorns to reduce damage taken by a creature of your choice within 30ft by 1d8 + your charisma modifier. This shield lasts for a single round of combat. At 1st level this can be cast once per short or long rest, with additional charges at levels 5, 7, and 9.

Guardian's Training

At 1st level, you acquire the training necessary to effectively arm yourself for battle. You gain proficiency with medium armor, shields, and martial weapons. Once per long rest, you may touch one weapon that you are proficient with and that lacks the two-handed property. When you attack with that weapon, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. This benefit lasts until you finish a long rest. If you later gain the Pact of the Blade feature, this benefit extends to every pact weapon you conjure with that feature, no matter the weapon's type.

Archon's Mark

Starting at 6th level, once per short rest, when you make a successful attack against a creature, you may mark them with a radiant light as a bonus action (for a duration of 1 minute). As a result of this light, your attacks on the target are made with advantage, the target cannot hide, and you deal additional radiant damage equal to your proficiency modifier when attacking it.

Warden's Rage

Starting at 10th level, you can wildshape into a Dire Bear as a bonus action once per long rest. While transformed, you can rage a number of times equal to half your charisma modifier (rounded down). This wildshape lasts for a number of hours equal to half of your charisma modifier (rounded down). If you take damage that exceeds your wildshape's hitpoints, you revert to your normal form at your original health, and any excess damage is then subtracted.

Ensnaring Radiance

Starting at 14th level, as a reaction you may make an attacker who hits you with a melee attack take a dexterity saving throw (DC15) or be grappled by radiant vines that swirl out around you. The creature akes 1d6 radiant damage for at the start of their turn while grappled and you regain hit points equal to half the damage (rounded up) dealt by the vines. As an action a character can make a DC15 strength check to break themselves or someone within 5 feet of them free of these vines.
