Bard
Base Class: Bard

In times forgotten, the original Storyteller brought creativity to the world. The gods hoarded every story, song, and poem for themselves. So, Anansi the Spider stole them for himself and the rest of existence. With these stories, he wove new ones, spreading all manners of ideas and wisdom to the ends of the realms, before fading into legend. However, he and his followers have returned in recent years, with new stories to tell. Some tell of newfound hope in a world of torment and war. Others tell of far darker futures. All that is clear is that whatever fate befalls the world, these few Bards will be there to tell the tale to those who come next.

Weaver's Web

When you enter this Bardic College at level 3, you can overcome all barriers to share your stories with the world.

By expending a Bardic Inspiration die as a bonus action, your words become infused with magic, letting all understand what you say for one hour, even if you don’t share a language.

You can understand any language spoken by a creature but only if the creature is specifically trying to communicate with you.

Word of Mouth

At 3rd level, you learn the Vicious Mockery cantrip or another Bard cantrip if you already know it. It does not count against your known cantrips.

Whenever you cast a spell with a verbal component you may use a bonus action to cast Vicious Mockery.

Spread the Word

Starting at level 6, as long as an allied creature has an unused Bardic Inspiration Die and is within 30 ft. of you, you may cast any spell of 5th level or lower from their position if it has a verbal component. If the spell has a range of touch your ally must use a reaction to reach out and touch the target.

Weaver's Secrets

As a Weaver grows in skill they learn more ways to find stories to tell. Some seek guidance from spirits while others search the minds of strangers. At level 6 you can learn 1 Divination spell of your choice from any spell list. You may learn 1 other Divination spell at level 14.

A spell you choose must be of a level you can cast, as shown on the Bard table, or a cantrip. The chosen spells count as bard spells for you but don't count against the number of bard spells you know.

Deny Censor

At level 14 your voice cannot be silenced. Any words you speak can be heard clearly, regardless of conditions, allowing all spells with verbal components to be available. Even in a situation where you have no air or are affected by magic, such as the Silence spell, your voice is clear and audible should you desire it to be. In addition, your spells cannot be affected by Counterspell.
