Base Class: Paladin
All things must end one day. Death at the right time, death for the right purpose, and the truth that nothing lives forever are sacred. Every animal, plant, and idea must end. Not even gods live forever, as they slay one another and fall out of mortal memory. The ground falls apart, mountains crumble, and the moon grows every further away. Death is inevitable.
Paladins that swear the Oath of Finality stand against any who defy the sacred law of Death. They oppose anyone foolish enough to animate the undead, seek immortality, or prolong lives of suffering. These champions of Death bring peace to those who need it, rescue those not yet fated to die, and strike down defilers of the natural cycle.
Tenets of Finality
The tenets of a paladin who swears the Oath of Finality can be heard echoing quietly around them shortly after they bring something to an end.
Declare the Truth. Death is not terrible; it is righteous. Make your conviction heard.
Death without Malice. Enforcing the law of Death doesn't include causing unnecessary deaths. To serve Death is to serve the living as well.
Mercy for the Dying. Allow the suffering to come to rest. Death need not be slow nor painful.
Slay the Immortal. Those who defy the inevitable commit blasphemy. Destroy them.
Channel Divinity
When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.
Ghost Step. You can use your Channel Divinity to assume a ghostly form, transcending any physical obstacle. As an action you whisper a promise to your holy symbol. For the next ten minutes, or until you are incapacitated, you can move through other creatures and solid objects as if they were difficult terrain. Anything you are wearing or carrying comes with you. You take 1d10 force damage if you end your turn inside a solid object.
If you are inside a solid object when this effect ends, you are immediately shunted to the nearest space that you can occupy and take force damage equal to twice the number of feet you moved.
Vow of Terminus. You can use your Channel Divinity to mark a target for death. As a bonus action, you present your holy symbol and speak a decree of termination. Choose one creature within 60 feet of you that you can see. That creature is marked by you until you take a long rest or you use this ability again. While the marked creature is still alive, your weapons and eyes glow with ghostly flames.
Whenever you damage the marked creature with an attack or spell, that creature takes an additional 1d8 force damage.

Soul Perception
At 7th level, hunting enemies of Death has granted you an even keener sense for detecting the supernatural. While using your Divine Sense, you have truesight within the same radius.
Pledged to Fate
Starting at 15th level, your service to Death has enhanced your body and soul with supernatural resilience. You gain the following benefits:
- You have resistance to necrotic damage.
- Your hit point maximum can't be reduced.
- Once per turn, when you are hit with an attack, you can reduce the damage you take by an amount equal to your Charisma Modifier (minimum of 1 damage reduction).
Indomitable Reaper
At 20th level, you have learned to become immune to effects that would inhibit your ability to end a being. Your nature as the guardian of the veil between life and death becomes apparent. Your eyes glow softly unless you decide to suppress that effect, no action required. As a bonus action, you gain the following benefits for ten minutes:
- Your body's limitations are lessened. You gain a hover speed of 30ft, you become immune to the prone condition, and the reach of your melee attacks are increased by 5ft.
- Your mind is unphased by restraint. You are immune to any effect that would render you incapacitated, paralyzed, stunned, or unconscious.
Once you use this bonus action, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend a 5th-level spell slot to use it again.
