Artificer
Base Class: Artificer
Some artificer’s believe that all magic should come from invention, with lots of moving parts and gears.  Origamists believe that magic comes from folding parchment.  They have mastered the arts of folding paper to the point where the fabrications come to life with magical potential.

Paper Making and Folding

Starting at 3rd level, you gain proficiency in paper making (and folding) tools to aid in your paper creations.  These tools are your spellcasting focus.

You know how to recycle your paper creations and never have a shortage of standard parchment paper for use in these creations.

You gain the Prestidigitation cantrip which you use during your paper making.  This does not count against the number of cantrips that you know,

Paper Armor

Starting at 3rd level, you fold parchment into a shape that can be worn as paper armor.  This armor grants you a base armor class of 13 + intelligence modifier + your dexterity modifier.  You have disadvantage on your stealth checks while wearing this armor.  This armor is created during a long rest and lasts until your next long rest, or until you are soaked in water.  If this happens you lose the armor class ability unless you expend a spell slot to dry out your armor.  You also can dry out your armor by casting 5 consecutive Prestidigitation spells. This is non-magical armor that can be infused normally.

Paper Cuts

Starting at 3rd level, you can create a weapon from folded paper.  This weapon is created during a long rest and has the following properties: you use your intelligence modifier for your attacks and damage using this weapon, it also must be a slashing weapon and counts as a magic item for purposes of bypassing resistance and immunities.  This weapon is created during a long rest and lasts until your next long rest, or until it is soaked in water.  If this happens you lose the ability to attack with the weapon unless you expend a spell slot to dry out your weapon.  You also can dry out your weapon by casting 5 consecutive Prestidigitation spells.  This weapon is non-magical and can be infused normally.

Paper Padding

Starting at 5th level, you laminate your paper to create heavily and lightly padded areas.  When you are critically hit by an attack you there is a 50% chance that the critical hit is only a normal hit.  You no longer have disadvantage on stealth checks while wearing your paper armor.

Treated Paper

Starting at 9th level, you specially treat your paper creations.  You add your proficiency bonus to your armor class of your paper armor, the attack and damage of your paper cuts weapon as well as your saving throws.  Your paper creations also gain (and grant you) resistance to fire and cold damage and no longer are affected by water related damage.

Paper Steeds

Starting at 15th level, you create a paper steed.  This acts as the spell Find Greater Steed spell.  Rather than dismissing the steed, you can fold it down into a small portable scroll-sized roll of paper.  You can create a number of steeds equal to your proficiency bonus, but each must be folded/unfolded by the artificer.  To fold the steed into a scroll sized parcel requires 1 minute.  To unfold a steed takes 1 action.  The steeds remain for a duration of 24 hours and can be folded and unfolded any number of times.  Each time the mount is unfolded it appears at full health.  Casting mending on the steed heals it for 2d6 damage. This ability recharges on a long rest.  These mounts gain the fire and cold resistance as well as its water related resistance abilities of your Treated Paper ability,  They also gain water walking ability.
