Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks of the Way of the Empty Force are masters of mental forces and can bend others to their will or manipulate the physical objects around them by manipulating the power of ki. All spell-like effects of this tradition can be performed without verbal, somatic or material components except where noted. The saving throw DC for your spells equals 8 + your Wisdom modifier + your proficiency bonus. You can use additional ki points to increase the level of the spell as you increase in level as described in the Way of the Four Elements Monastic Tradition (spell level increases by 1 for each additional ki point spent; 3 ki points 5th-8th level, 4 ki points 9th-12th level, 5 ki points 13th-16th, and 6 ki points 17th-20th).

Use the Force

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level you know the Message cantrip, and as an action you can spend 2 ki points to cast Detect Thoughts or Levitate. Levitate can be used in combination with movement such as a jump.

Whisper on the Wind

At 6th level as an action, you can spend 3 ki points to cast Suggestion or Confusion. Casting Suggestion requires the usual verbal command.

Seize the Empty Force

At 11th level as an action, you can spend 4 ki points to cast Telekinesis. After the first turn the spell is cast you can spend 1 ki point to use a bonus action on subsequent turns to continue concentrating on the spell and moving items or creatures or switching between targets instead of expending one action as usual. You can also spend 1 ki point to attempt a stunning strike (PHB p. 79) to cause a creature propelled by this force to strike a fixed object and if it is stunned it also takes falling damage based on the number of feet it was moved in one direction (1d6 for every 10 feet).

If you are 17th level or above and spend 1 additional ki point you can use one action to attempt to affect a gargantuan creature contested by the creature’s strength check or an item more than 1,000 pounds by succeeding on an ability check with your spellcasting ability contested with a DC 20 check plus 1 DC for each 500 pounds in excess of 1,000 (plus an additional check if the item is also held by a creature).

Wave of Empty Force

At 17th level as an action, you can spend 6 ki points to cast Mass Suggestion. In addition, you have advantage on savings throws to avoid a break in concentration on your spells.

At 17th level you can spend 1 additional ki point you can use one action to attempt to affect a gargantuan creature contested by the creature’s strength check or an item more than 1,000 pounds by succeeding on an ability check with your spellcasting ability contested with a DC 20 check plus 1 DC for each 500 pounds in excess of 1,000 (plus an additional check if the item is also held by a creature).
