Base Class: Monk
Magic is wild and dangerous but also amazing and wonderful and this Monastic Tradition is about finding that magic and utilizing it in affective ways by manipulating it with Your Ki. Your Ki has been corrupted by magic and it is causing your Ki to become wild and surge forth as wild magic. At first this can seem like a bad thing but through training and discipline you have and can turn it into you greatest strength. Controlling it can be hard but it is possible to do ... to an extent. Thought it is not usually a choice to adopt this Monastic Tradition some do try but few succeed as the process to corrupt Ki with magic is still not known and vary dangerous, to ones self and others around them.
Magic Awareness
Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, As an action, you can open your awareness to the presence of concentrated magic. Until the end of your next turn, you see a faint aura around any visible creature or object in the area that bears magic and know the location of any spell or magic item within 30 feet of you that isn’t behind total cover. When you sense magic, you can learn which school of magic that source belongs to.
Wild Magic Surge
Starting when you choose this monastic tradition at 3st level, your Ki can unleash surges of untamed magic. Once per turn, the DM can have you roll a d10 immediately after you use a Ki point. If you roll a 1 or 10, roll on the Wild Magic Surge table to create a magical effect. If that effect is a spell, it is too wild to be affected by your Ki, and if it normally requires concentration, it doesn’t require concentration in this case; the spell lasts for its full duration. (see wild magic sorcerer for table. For 99–00 use Ki points. For 59–60 regain 3 Ki points. For 33–34 it's your next attack action. For 27–28 the Ki ability you used and the next Ki ability you use do not use Ki points. In 21–22 it effects your next Ki ability that has that effect.
Counter Magic
At 6th LVL you gain the ability to Identify and counteract magic for three Ki points you can use one of these three ability's. You can spend additional Ki to "up cast" the feature. Theses features can be used 1+ Wis mod per long rest. This has also allowed you to act faster in anticipation of you appoints magical ability's, you can now add your wisdom mod to your initiative.
- As a reaction you attempt to interrupt a creature with in 60ft of you in the process of casting a spell. If the creature is casting a spell of 3rd level or lower, its spell fails and has no effect. If it is casting a spell of 4th level or higher, make an ability check using your Wisdom. The DC equals 10 + the spell's level. On a success, the creature's spell fails and has no effect.
- Choose one creature, object, or magical effect within 90ft. Any spell of 3rd level or lower on the target ends. For each spell of 4th level or higher on the target, make an ability check using your Wisdom. The DC equals 10 + the spell's level. On a successful check, the spell ends.
Ki Empowered Wild Magic Surge
At 11th level, you gain a modicum of control over the surges of your wild magic. Whenever you roll on the Wild Magic Surge table, you can roll twice and use either number. As well when ever you hit an enemy for the cost of one ki point and only once a turn pure enemy you can chose to unleash a surge of wild magic effecting them (ignore , 21-22, 27-28, 33-34, 59-60, 71-72, 91-92, 99-00 results for the enemy and roll again). and ignore your the normal wild magic roll. Also when rolling damage on a hit from an unarmed strike, when you roll the lowest number possible (1+dmg) reroll that dice twice and turn the result into psychic damage.
Spell Resistance and Deflection
At 17th LVL you have advantage on a saving throw against spells and other magical effects. If your saving throw succeeds, or the attack roll misses by your wisdom mod or less, you can spend ki equal to 1/2 spell level (min of 3 and rounding up) and the spell targets only you (not area) you can use your reaction and the spell has no effect on you and instead targets the caster.
