Rogue
Base Class: Rogue

There are many names some could call you: a charlatan, a swindler, a promiscuous scoundrel, but you feel that 'charismatic' tends to describe yourself well enough. You realized that with words alone, you could get yourself into and out of almost any situation, and so you honed your craft, learning to read people, knowing all the tips and tricks to get on their good side, or at least dissuade them from attacking you. This doesn't mean you don't know how to fight, of course, you just don't understand why rogues have to be so grim and dark. What's wrong with a smile every once in a while?

Charming

3rd-level Silver Tongue feature

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you develop an uncanny talent for lying. Whenever you make a Charisma (Deception) or Charisma (Persuasion) check outside of combat, you treat a roll of 7 or lower on the d20 as an 8.

Beguiling

3rd-level Silver Tongue feature

Starting at 3rd level, you can use a bonus action to make a Charisma (Deception) check against a creature you can see, contested by the target's Wisdom (Insight) check. If you succeed, you have advantage on your next attack roll against the creature. If you attempt this on the same creature more than once in a day, it has advantage on its Wisdom (Insight) check.

Distracting

9th-level Silver Tongue feature

At 9th level, you add your Charisma modifier to your AC.

Convincing

13th-level Silver Tongue feature

Starting at 13th level, you excel at thinking on the spot to talk your way in and out of places you're not supposed to be. If you've spent at least 10 minutes in a location, you can make a Charisma (Deception) or Charisma (Persuasion) to dissuade someone who's caught you from becoming hostile, contested by the target's Wisdom (Insight) check. If you succeed, you guarantee they don't become hostile, but they may still attempt to escort you out of the location. However, if you succeed in the contest by 10 or more, you use names and terms that you picked up while moving around in the location to convince them that you belong in even the most exclusive areas, allowing you to go on your way without issue.
You can also attempt to talk your way in to restricted areas using the same feature, but the target's Wisdom (Insight) check has a +5 bonus if the area they're guarding is exclusively restricted, such as a VIP-only lounge. However, you have advantage on your check if you have an item representing some kind of authority, such as a badge or other identifying marker.

Captivating

17th-level Silver Tongue feature

When you reach 17th level, you can command the attention of those around you, even if it seems like the world is crashing down around them. When you interact with one or more creatures outside of combat, you can attempt to charm them. All creatures of your choice within 60 feet must make a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + your Charisma modifier + your proficiency bonus). Any creatures that fail their save are charmed by you for a number of minutes equal to your Charisma modifier. While a creature is charmed in this way, they are enthralled by you, and will stay where they are, looking only at you, ignoring anything else going on around them, as they listen to you speak or perform. This effect ends immediately on a creature if it is attacked or takes damage.
