Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks that follow the Way of the Steel Wind excel at manipulating ki and the air around them.

Soaring Strikes

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, the surrounding breeze intensifies your unarmed strikes. When you hit a creature with an unarmed strike, you can spend 1 ki point to force them to make a strength saving throw against you Ki Save DC. On a fail, the target is pushed 5 feet in a direction of your choice (including up) or knocked prone.

Disarming Force

At 6th level, you have learned to manipulate the wind in order to disarm your foes from a distance. You can spend Ki points on the following additional option.

Disarming Force. As a bonus action, you can spend 2 Ki points to send a razor’s edge of air at a creature within 30ft, making a ranged attack roll using your Unarmed Strike attack and damage modifier. On a hit, the target takes damage as normal, but the type is changed to slashing, and they must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your Ki save DC or drop one object of your choice that they are carrying.

Cutting Whirlwind

At 11th level, you master the art of attacking nearby enemies in the blink of an eye. As an action, choose up to 5 creatures within 30 feet of you (you need not see them and you ignore cover). Make an unarmed strike against each creature. On a hit, the target takes 4d6 slashing damage. You may teleport to a point within 5 feet of one of the targets you successfully hit, or remain where you are.

Alternatively, you can target one creature 5 times. When targeting in this manner, you make 5 unarmed strikes with advantage, but on each hit, the target takes 1d8 slashing damage.

You can't use this feature again until you finish a long rest.

Improved Soaring Strikes

At 6th level, you have become adept at using your Soaring Strikes. Your Soaring Strikes now push creatures 10 feet away. Additionally, when you succeed in moving a creature using your Soaring Strikes feature, you may move with that creature. This allows you to continually force a creature farther into the air.

Master of the Steel Wind

At 17th level, you have completed your training in the Way of the Steel Wind. You regain 1 Ki Point for every creature you hit when using your Cutting Whirlwind. Additionally, you can cast Wind Wall without material components once per long rest.
