Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Be it a loyal Thane or the kings executioner, someone has to do the dirty work. For those who follow the rule of tyrants, the Path of Wretched Kings is the best way forward. Barbarians who serve under the authority of royalty or other high influence are known as ‘Gold Hands.’ Most of these barbarians are well known in certain social circles, but often little is known about them personally.

Maybe you serve under a tyrannical ruler; Or maybe you are the right hand to a person of nobility; Or maybe you’re just a sell sword, working for whoever pays the most money in any given situation.

King's Tongue

3rd-level Path of Wretched Kings feature

When you go into a rage, your adrenaline allows you to exude confidence known only to some. When raging, you are able to make Persuasion, Intimidation, and Deception checks with advantage. If you should have to make this check with disadvantage, you can instead use your reaction to cancel this out

Additionally, whenever you make an attack against a frightened creature, you can chose to make this check with advantage.

King's Presence

6th-level Path of Wretched Kings feature

Whilst you are raging, you can take an action to incite fear on every creature of your choice within a 15ft radius. For the next minute, or until you come out of your rage, each hostile creature must succeed a Strength saving throw or become frightened until the aura ends, or until the creature takes damage.

At 14th level, the radius of your King's Tongue increases to 30ft radius.

Kings' Retainer

10th-level Path of Wretched Kings feature

You can further extend the intimidating aura of your Kings' Presence. If you attack a creature who has already been frightened by Kings' Presence, you can also make an additional attack as a bonus action. If you are able to hit your opponent with this attack, they will have disadvantage on their next saving throw.

Kings' Reign

14th-level Path of Wretched Kings feature

Using your reaction you can inflict Psychic damage against betrayers of the crown. When someone under the influence of your Kings' Presence hits you with an attack, you can choose to deal 4d12 Psychic damage to the creature
