Fighter
Base Class: Fighter

Corsairs are pirates that used to be paid or contracted by governments or nobles to achieve things. They are masters at navigating at sea and have mastered combat within a ship. This corsair subclass is a mix and match with the Champion and Swashbuckler. It focusses on critical damage from the champion and the opportunism of the Swashbuckler.

Opportunist

Starting at 7th level, your weapon attacks that score a critical hit roll an extra dice of damage. Attacks that have advantage add two extra dice of damage instead.

Remarkable Audacity

Starting at 10th level, your confidence propels you into battle. You can give yourself a bonus to your initiative rolls equal to your Charisma modifier.

Additionally, you can add half your proficiency bonus (rounded up) to any Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution check you make that doesn't already use your proficiency bonus. When you make a running long jump, the distance you can cover increases by a number of feet equal to your Strength modifier.

Opportune Critical

Starting at 15th level, your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19-20 whenever you have advantage on the attack roll. Additionally, each damage dice made with a firearm may be rerolled if the damage dice yield maximum result, instead of only once.

Master Duellist

Beginning at 18th level, your mastery of the blade lets you turn failure into success in combat. If you miss with an attack roll, you can roll it again with advantage. Once you do so, you can't use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.

Blade & Powder

Starting at 3th level, you gain proficiency with firearms and Tinker's tools.

Additionally, when you make a melee weapon attack as part of the Attack action and then make a two-weapon fighting attack using your bonus action while wielding a firearm, being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn’t impose disadvantage on your ranged attack rolls.

While making a firearm attack as described above, if you roll maximum on your damage roll, you may reroll an additional dice and add the result to the total damage of the attack.
