Base Class: Warlock
Death holds no sway over your patron, who has unlocked the secrets of everlasting life, although such a prize—like all power—comes at a price. Once mortal, the Undying has seen mortal lifetimes pass like the seasons, like the flicker of endless days and nights. It has the secrets of the ages to share, secrets of life and death. Beings of this sort include Vecna, Lord of the Hand and the Eye; the dread Iuz; the lich-queen Vol; the Undying Court of Aerenal; Vlaakith, lich-queen of the githyanki; and the deathless wizard Fistandantalus. In the Realms, Undying patrons include Larloch the Shadow King, legendary master of Warlock's Crypt, and Gilgeam, the God-King of Unther.

If you are already proficient in these skills, you gain expertise in them instead. Once per long rest, you may touch a dead creature and roll an Insight check (with a difficulty class set by the DM) to discover a small detail from the creature's life, such as the location of its home, if it had a connection to another creature the warlock knows or what emotions it felts as it died.
- Spectral Aspect: A slight cold accompanies you wherever you go, and your hair and clothes sway slightly in the air. Once per rest, you may spend a reaction move through a Medium or smaller creature or an obstacle no larger than 5 ft. as if it was difficult terrain. You must be able to see the space in which you wish to move to after moving through this obstacle. In addition, once per rest, you may briefly take a spectral form as a reaction to an attack. For that attack, you gain resistance to non-magical bludgeoning, slashing and piercing damage.
