Paladin
Base Class: Paladin

The Oath of The Phoenix expects their Paladins to learn about the world around them in any way they can. Many Paladins of this Oath hail from lives such as professors and librarians. Many use their adventures to fund expeditions and research or to get first-person accounts of ancient ruins and tombs. These Paladins understand the power of fire and use it in their magic, controlling and shaping it to their will. They use the symbolism of a Phoenix to represent not just their fire magic, but to show that even if they don't live on, their writings and memories shall.

Tenets of The Phoenix

Burn The Dead Brush. Defeat makes one stronger, do not be afraid of loss.

Pass on Knowledge. If you yourself cannot be rebirthed, make your discoveries live on.

Rise From ignorance. Teach those who want to learn and encourage the asking of questions.

Smite of Legends

Starting at 3rd level when you choose this Oath, you are able to alter your smites. When using the Divine Smite feature, you may change the damage type it deals to fire instead of radiant.

Channel Divinity

When you take this oath at 3rd level, you gain the following two Channel Divinity options.

Ashen Revival. As a reaction, when you or an ally within 30ft would be reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can use your Channel Divinity to give them hit points equal to twice your Charisma modifier (minimum of 2).

Heated Strikes. When you hit with a weapon attack, you can use Channel Divinity to change the weapons damage type to fire, dealing an additional 1D10 + your Charisma modifier + your Proficiency bonus.

Oath Spells

You gain oath spells at the paladin levels listed.
