Base Class: Sorcerer

Hailing from the deserts of Atroxus, there lives a village of people connected to the earth known as the Altasa. They have made their home in the desert wilds, and serve as it's protectors. Primarily weavers, and textile producers, the Altasa are a peaceful people who through generations of living in the desert have adapted a bloodline trait, known as the Desert Soul. With its power, they have grown a deeper connection to the stone and sand of the desert, and the earth as a whole, and manipulate and change the state of the dunes with their minds. Together they cater to the needs of the desert, and are forever weaving the destiny of the desert, and their people, alike.

Desert Magic

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the Desert Spells table. Each spell counts as a sorcerer spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of sorcerer spells you know. These spells can’t be replaced when you gain a level in this class.

Stone Surf

Starting at 1st level, as a bonus action, while standing on some form of earth or crystal, you can call up a slab of stone that appears beneath your feet, and molds itself around your feet. While you are connected to this stone slab, your base movement speed increases by 15 feet, and you gain a climbing speed equal to your new speed when scaling anything made of stone or earth. If you take damage while on the stone slab treat it like a concentration spell, even though this ability does not use up your concentration. If you fail the concentration check, you fall off and the ability ends.

Desert Force

 Starting at 6th level, the strength of your earth based spells increases. Whenever you cast a spell that deals bludgeoning damage, you can add half your sorcerer level to the damage, and you ignore resistance to bludgeoning damage with your spells.

Improved Stone Surf

Starting at 14th level, your ability to move across the earth increases. You ignore earth based difficult terrain while on your stone slab, additionally, when you use Stone Surf, you can designate up to two other creatures who also gain the benefits of your Stone Surf as long as they remain within 30 feet of you. While not in combat you can designate up to 10 people instead.

Desert Sense

Starting at 14 level, you can also feel the movements of the earth. You gain Tremorsense with a range of 60 feet.

One With The Desert

Starting at 18th level, you have fully become one with your home and the land. You can select one of the following effects to happen. Once you use this feature you can’t do so again until you take a long rest, or you use 7 sorcery points.

  • After one minute of casting you summon a Desert Guardian that lasts for up to an hour, this uses your concentration.
  • You can mold and shape the earth into any kind of structure in a 500ft square. The larger the structure the longer it takes to create. Time ranges from 1 action to 30 minutes. DM's discretion
  • As an action you transform your body into earth-like material. You gain immunity to poison damage, and resistance to all bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage. You gain a burrow speed of 30 feet, and +2 to your AC. This transformation lasts for 10 minutes.
