Base Class: Barbarian
The Path of Aether is a forgotten path used only by remote groups in the elemental Plane of Air. The movements and defenses that this Path grants the user are only truly obtainable by those who have wings and can fly.
Restriction: Aarakocra Only
Only an Aarakocra can follow the Path of Aether. It is through their natural bird-like properties that they are able to preform these abilities.
Your DM can lift this restriction to better suit your campaign. The restriction reflects the abilities of an Aarakocra with natural born ties bird-like properties, but it might not apply to your DM's world or your DM's version of the Planes.
Wing Burst
Starting at 3rd level, you can focus your rage into your movement. While raging, you can use your bonus action to move your full distance (walking & flying) to burst across the terrain and close the gap with your enemies.
Feather Dance
Starting at 6th level, while raging, you can use your reaction to flare your wings and create a flurry of feathers that imposes disadvantage against a melee attack against you. If the attack misses, the creature must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC equal to 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Charisma modifier), or become frightened until the start of your next turn.
Wing Shroud
Starting at 10th level, your wings act as a shield for your allies. While raging, you can use a reaction to encompass an ally within 5 ft. of you to prevent them from being attacked directly, and instead taking the attack yourself.
Slipstream Barrage
At 14th level, you have mastered the use of your rage in unison with your attunement to the elemental plane of air. Add 1 additional damage die of your weapon type to your damage for each attack you make, as the air around each of your hits propels your weapon.
