Base Class: Fighter
An armored man stands alone, eyes wide and darting wildly. He is enveloped in darkness and turns his head toward the sounds of bootsteps. At the last moment the glimmer of a blade catches his sight and he raises his shield to defend against the blow. As the blade and shield come into contact the blade dissipates into a dark gloamy cloud. A look of surprise sprawls across the armored mans face as he looks down at the sword piercing his chest.
Some learn to fight in the darkness, others are born in it, molded by it.
Mastery of the shadows
At 3rd level when you choose this archetype you gain superior darkvision up to a range of 120ft and gain the following benefits in dim light and darkness:
- When your movement provokes an opportunity attack the attack is made at disadvantage as you blend with the shadows.
- Stealth checks are made at advantage.
- Add 1d4 to your melee attack rolls.
Domain of Darkness
Beginning when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, you may use your action to create an area of dim light or darkness centered on you. This area does not move once you place it, and extends out from you 20ft in all directions. Any bright light in the area becomes dim and any dim light becomes dark. The dim light or darkness created by this class feature behaves normally when it interacts with light, including light created by spells. If a creature would cast dispel magic on the effect created by this feature, they must treat it as though it were a spell leveled to half of your level. This effect ends when you dismiss it as a free action, if you lose concentration (as if you were concentrating on a spell,) or in 1 minute. You may use this feature once and may regain the use of it after a short rest.
Twilight Slash
You are able to launch shadows toward your foes in the form of a shadowy slash.
As an action you may make a special melee attack this attack has a reach of 30ft, Roll a melee attack that you are proficient in, the attack deals 2d8 slashing damage. If you are in dim light or darkness this attack does not break your stealth.
Null Void
At 10th level, as a reaction to being targeted by a ranged attack you may attempt to absorb the attack into darkness.
When you do so roll a dex save, if the save is higher than the attack roll than the attack misses.
Twilight Slash: Surging Eclipse
Starting at 15th level, Your twilight slash feature ignores cover. Additionally when your twilight slash hits an enemy you may choose to expend a use of your action surge feature, if you do deal an extra 3d10 Psychic damage.
Domain of darkness: Black Hole
At 18th level, you gain superior control of your domain of darkness. Whenever you use the domain of darkness feature the following changed occur to it.
- All light in the effected area becomes magical darkness as though it were created by the darkness spell.
- The area extends out from you 40ft in all directions.
- you and your allies can see through this darkness as the area was within bright light though color cannot be seen.
- Spells which create light must be at least 8th level to dispel the area, and only dispel the portions of the area that they effect.
- You are at advantage on concentration saves to keep the effect up.
