Dread Blades

Also beginning at 3rd level, you learn a terrifying power that further increases the suffering you cause, at the price of inching closer to death. Once per turn, when you hit a creature with a weapon baring your Crimson Rite, you can choose to coalesce the energy into a phantom dread blade. To summon the dread blade, you reduce your Hit Points equal to one roll of your hemocraft dice and mark the creature you hit. At the end of its turn, the dread blade tears through them, dealing one roll of your hemocraft dice in damage, the damage type matching the Crimson Rite damage the creature took. Once this effect triggers 3 times, the effect ends. A creature can only be marked by one instance of Dread Blades at a time.

Minus Guard

At 7th level, you have gained the ability to riposte foes spiritually when they damage you. When you take damage from a creature marked by either your Dread Blades or Brand of Castigation features, you can use your reaction to gain resistance to any further damage you take until the beginning of your next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain all uses at the end of a Long Rest.

Sanguine Strikes

By 11th level, you gain the ability to drain the elemental energy you deal to your foes and suffuse it into life force to empower you. When you deal rite damage with a weapon affected by your Crimson Rite feature, you regain Hit points equal to the rite damage you dealt.

Blood Curse of the Deathstorm

At 15th level, you’ve gained the power to assault your foes with a wicked onslaught of Dread Blades. You gain the Blood Curse of the Deathstorm for your Blood Maledict feature. This doesn’t count against your number of blood curses known.

Deal with the Devil

At 18th level, you have traded away your fleeting lifeforce for the gift of unspeakable power. When you make a Saving Throw against an effect you can see, you can choose to activate Deal with the Devil. Mark off a Death Save Fail. Instead of rolling, you automatically succeed the check and take no damage. If you are reduced to 0 hit points, you automatically apply the death fails. These death fails last until you have been stabilised or have completed a short, or long rest. You can only use this ability 3 times until the death fails have been cleared.
