Monk
Base Class: Monk

Monks following the Way of Selûne learn to channel their life energy to affect the world around them as the moon affects the realms below.  They teach that meditation can unlock the ability to illuminate the inner light beaming from every living soul.

Lunar Bolts

Starting when you choose this tradition at 3rd level, you can hurl powerful bolts of lunar radiance.

You gain a new attack option that you can use with the Attack action. This special attack is a ranged spell attack with a range of 30 feet. You are proficient with it, and you add your Dexterity modifier to its attack and damage rolls. Its damage is radiant, and its damage die is a d4. This die changes as you gain monk levels, as shown in the Martial Arts column of the Monk table.

When you take the Attack action on your turn and use this special attack as part of it, you can spend 1 ki point to make the special attack twice as a bonus action.

When you gain the Extra Attack feature (5th level), this special attack can be used for any of the attacks you make as part of the Attack action.

Crashing Tide Strike

At 6th level, you gain the ability to channel your ki into crashing waves of gravitational energy. Immediately after you take the Attack action on your turn, you can spend 2 ki points to cast the thunderwave spell as a bonus action.

You can spend additional ki points to cast thunderwave as a higher-level spell. Each additional ki point you spend increases the spell’s level by 1. The maximum number of ki points (2 plus any additional points) that you can spend on the spell equals half your monk level.

Moonbeam

At 11th level, you gain the ability to summon the light of the moon to focusing the power of the moon into a column of radiant energy.  As an action, you cast the moonbeam spell to summon a silvery beam of pale light that shines down in a 5-foot radius, 40 foot-high cylinder centered on a point within range (120 ft).  The spell requires concentration and has a duration of 1 minute.

You can cast moonbeam as a higher-level spell by spending ki points. Each point you spend, to a maximum of 3, increases the spell's level by 1.  (Increasing the damage by 1d10 per ki point spent)

When a creature enters the column for the first time or starts its turn there, it is engulged in ghostly flames that cause searing pain, and it must make a Constitution saving throw.  It takes 2d10 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

A shapechanger makes its saving throw with disadvantage.  If it fails, it also instantly reverts to its original form and can’t assume a different form until it leaves the spell’s light.

On each of your turns after casting this spell, you can use an action to move the beam up to 60 feet in any direction.

Eclipsed Totality

At 17th level, you gain the ability to surround yourself with a luminous aura of magical energy. Your form is wreathed in bright light which illuminates your surroundings (first 30-foot radius with bright light, the next 30-60-foot ring with dim light). You can extinguish or restore the light as a bonus action.

If a creature hits you with a melee attack while this light shines, you can use your reaction to deal radiant damage to the creature. The radiant damage equals 5 + your Wisdom modifier.
