Base Class: Bard
By accompanying their spell casting with music, these bards are able to perform feats of magic unrivaled by other bards.
The Show Must Go On
Starting at 3rd level, you may make a Charisma saving throw to maintain concentration on a spell, instead of the normal Constitution saving throw. The DC is the same. You must have cast the spell with a musical instrument as the focus in order to use this benefit.
Musical Ornaments
At third level, you learn to improvise variations on your music to achieve more powerful effects. While you are concentrating on a spell, you may use an action to add an ornament to that spell. You can use only one ornament per turn. The spell you ornament must have been cast using an instrument as your spell casting focus, and you must be wielding that instrument at the time you add the ornament.
Crescendo
You can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to increase the save DC of the spell that you are currently concentrating on. The increase is equal to one half of the result you roll on your Bardic Inspiration die, minimum 1.
Echo
You can expend one use of your Bardic Inspiration to extend the duration of the spell you are currently concentrating on. The extra duration in rounds is the number that you roll on your Bardic Inspiration die. Once you have used this ornament to augment your concentrated spell, you cannot ornament that spell again.
Perfecto
You can spend one use of your Bardic Inspiration die to increase the power of the spell you are concentrating on. Until the end of your next turn, the spell you are concentrating on is treated as having been cast using a spell slot greater than what you used to cast it. The increase in spell slot level is equal to one third the result of the result of rolling your Bardic Inspiration die, minimum 1.
Signature Song
When you reach 6th level, you learn one spell from any class with a duration of 'Concentration'. The chosen spell counts as a bard spell for you, but doesn't count against the number of bard spells you know. The chosen spell must be of a level you can cast. When you add an ornament to your signature song, your Bardic inspiration die is improved by one die size. You must cast the spell with an instrument as your focus in order to gain these benefits, and the spell has verbal and somatic components in addition to its regular casting requirements.
Master's Ornament
Starting at 14th level, whenever you use an Ornament, you can roll a d6 and use the result instead of expending a Bardic Inspiration die. If you are ornamenting your Signature Song, you can use a d8 instead.
