Bard
Base Class: Bard

Some bards perform battle songs whilst riding into battle to bolster their allies and some bards write poetry or produce comedies to please their king. Bards of the college of lo-fi beats to study/relax to, however, are most commonly found in the off hours, playing in a quiet inn to please weary guests or at the library, bolstering their patron's readings.

These bards are masters of diffusing tension and helping to calm even the most hated of enemies. They are skilled musicians and poets and wield the powers of their relaxing performances to great effect in almost every situation.

You can weave notes that can cause even the most vicious attacker to sleep peacefully. The creature must succeed on a constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or fall unconscious and are deafened for a number of hours equal to half the number rolled on the Bardic Inspiration die, the sleeper takes damage, or until another creature uses an action to shake or slap them awake. If the target does not wake up for the entire duration of the effect, they can reduce any exhaustion points they may have to zero.

Assisted Studying

6th-level College of Lo-Fi Beats to Study/Relax to feature

Choose one spell from any class and of any level or a cantrip. You may learn this spell after performing a ritual with a spellcaster who already knows the spell. The ritual takes a number of hours equal to twice the level of the spell you are trying to learn (one hour for a cantrip), during which time you and the other spellcaster are both deafened. The chosen spell counts as a bard spell for you but doesn’t count against the number of bard spells you know.

Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a long rest after having cast the last spell learned in this way.

Multi-Tasking Mastery

14th-level College of Lo-Fi Beats to Study/Relax to feature

At 14th level, your ability to keep a calm mind surpasses that of the greatest scholars. When concentrating on a spell, you can cast another spell that requires concentration without losing concentration on the first spell. While concentrating in this way, you cannot cast any other spells other than the two spells you are concentrating on, whether or not the other spells require concentration. Also, when concentrating on more than one spell in this way, whenever you are forced to make a constitution saving throw to maintain concentration on your spells, you must make a separate saving throw for each of the two spells.

Once you lose concentration on both spells, you cannot use this feature again until you finish a long rest.
