Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

A mighty warrior that has fallen from grace and branded with a mark of darkness. This mark manifests its power in energy that surrounds the barbarian, acting a a false armor which later may project shadowy tendrils to aid in combat.

Might of the Fallen Warrior

While Rage is active, dark energy pours forth from your mark and shapes into translucent energy which surrounds you. During this time, your skill with heavy weapons is bolstered, and when you score a critical hit with a heavy weapon or reduce a creature to 0 hit points with one, you can make one melee weapon attack as a bonus action. If possible, this attack must target a creature other than the one you previously attacked. If no other creature can be targeted, this attack suffers disadvantage.

The effect of this does not stack with the Great Weapon Master feat. If the Great Weapon Master feat is taken, it may replace this feature.

Berserker Armor

Beginning at 6th level, the energies that pour forth from you solidify into an armor. This armor does not count against Unarmored Defense, increasing your AC by 2 while raging.

Shadow Snare

Beginning at 10th level, you gain the ability to snare a creature of Medium size or smaller within 15 feet as a bonus action while raging. This creature must make a STR saving throw (DC15) or be grappled until the end of your next turn, and take 1d8 force damage on a failed saving throw. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your rage count per Long Rest.

*Creatures Large or above can suffer the damage of this effect, but cannot be grappled. Instead, their movement speed is cut in half.

Empowered Shadows

Beginning at 14th level, the dark energy or your armor is empowered. As a reaction, you may bolster your shadows against attack; until the start of your next turn, you have a +5 bonus to AC, including against the triggering attack. You may use you this feature a number of times equal to your rage count per Long Rest.

Additionally, the damage of your Shadow Snare is increased to 2d8.
