the Necronomicon

you find a book bound by flesh it is the book of the dead also know as the Necronomicon. you now carry this book with you  it talks to you, it gives you its power and corrupts you. can you take this power and make it your own or will you fall victim to it. the choice is yours.

(I don't exactly know how to make this work in dnd beyond so please use on paper not here)

Necronomicon

once you have gained the power of the Necronomicon you gain the following abilities

- you can only choose from necromancy spells and know all necromancy spells (includes mystic Arcanum)

-every short rest choose a number of level necromancy spells equal to the spells you know they must be under or equal to your slot level

- learn 2 extra necromancy cantrips

-if you lose the Necronomicon do a one hour ritual to get it back unless a higher evil aligned being has it 

hatred of the dead

all undead if they see you will always prioritize attacking you over anything else 

corruption of the limbs

at 6th level you gain more power from the book from it corrupting you now when you make a melee attack you add 1d8 of necrotic damage, 10th level its 2d8, and 14th level 3d8.

the Necronomicon can now posses you at any time during the day for 1 minute make a dc 10 wisdom save to push it back each time you push it back the dc goes up by 1 until 20 when it goes back to 10

corruption of the heart

 at 10th level your chest and organs our now corrupted you gain resistance to necrotic and vulnerability to radiant damage. you no longer need to eat, drink, sleep and breath.

the Necronomicon can now posses you for 10 minutes each day make a dc 12 wisdom save to push back its control every time you succeed it goes up by 1 and now when you succeed you take 1d4 damage it resets to twelve when it gets to twenty or when you fail.

complete corruption

when you gain this feature roll a d100 and if you get 1-50 your alignment changes to ce were you lose your self to the book and it now controls you for half of your waking hours, 51-75 changes your alignment to le were you lose your self to the book but you can keep your will and 76-100 you now have complete control of the book and its power feeing your mind from its influence it can no longer take it over. you also gain the following things :

-you can now cast one level 1 and one level 2 spell at will with out a spell slot or choosing it at the short rest

-if 1-50 gain the rage ability from barbarians, gain the undead type and now undead that see you run away until out of sight

-if 51-75 you become a lich (talk to your dm on how to work this) and undead no longer attack you

-if 76-100 remove all outward appearances of corruption and the Necronomicon can no longer take control of you and lose vulnerability to radiant damge
