College of Heroism

Founded by great heroes, the Bardic College of Heroism produces bards that live and fight through the very battles they sing about. These bards focus not only their own combat prowess but act as inspirational leaders and supportive right-hands to ensure everyone around them lives to their fullest potential as heroes.

Bards of the College of Heroism typically find themselves as adventurers in a variety of jobs. Many nobles may employ a Heroism bard as a body guard posing as a simple entertainer or diplomat. Additionally such bards may join mercenary groups, militaries, adventuring parties, or other bard troupes.

Joining the College of Heroism grants additional weapon and armor training, expanded spell casting, and new ways to inspire and lead.

College Spells

3rd Level College of Heroism Feature

You learn additional spells when you reach certain levels in this class, as shown on the College Spells table. Each of these spells counts as a bard spell for you, but it doesn’t count against the number of bard spells you know.

Bonus Proficiencies

3rd Level College of Heroism Feature

When you join the College of Heroism at 3rd level, you gain proficiency with medium armor, shields, and martial weapons. Additionally, you can use any simple or martial weapon as a spell casting focus for your bard spells.

Heroic Might

3rd Level College of Heroism Feature

Additionally, at 3rd level, you learn to lead by example. When you use your bonus action to give an ally a bardic inspiration die you can add your Charisma modifier to the damage rolls of your weapon attacks and spell effect damage for 1 minute.

Extra Attack

6th Level College of Heroism Feature

Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn. Moreover, you can cast a cantrip in place of one of these attacks.

Call To Arms

14th Level College of Heroism Feature

At 14th level, you are a seasoned combatant and leader, you can add your Charisma modifier to your initiative as well as the roll of your bardic inspiration die. Additionally, the result of your bardic inspiration die is added as temp hp to the one who rolled it.
