Warlock
Base Class: Warlock

You have made a pact with any deity from any plane of existence, who tasks you with the 'harvesting' of souls. The reasons for this can cary, some use the souls for labour, some for testing magic, some as bargaining chips, regular currency, or a mixture of all of these. Deities powerful enough to forge a pact such as this include demon lords, creatures of the feywild, minor celestials, old gods, or even powerful and insane wizards or enchanters that have ascended to godhood. Soul Mages can be of any non-neutral alignment, but always share this with their patron.

Expanded Spell List

Your Patron allows you to choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. These spells change depending on the origin of your patron; you can learn the spells on the expanded spell lists of the closest deity to yours (if your patron is a demon choose the fiend, if they are a fey choose the archfey, if they are undead choose the undead, etc.

Starting at 6th level, once per short rest you may expend a soul to give advantage or disadvantage to an attack roll, ability check or saving throw. You can do so only before the roll. The target of this can be any aligned creature.

Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.

They must make a DC {(modifier:cha)+8+proficiency) save or be controlled by you for 1d6+{(modifier:cha)} rounds. This feature requires concentration. Once you use this feature, you can’t use it again until you finish a long rest.
