Rogue
Base Class: Rogue
Assassination has its place; taking out a large target as quickly, efficiently, and preferably as quietly as possible is extremely important for large threats. Unfortunately not all threats are large, some are smaller, but with great numbers. The assassin clan of [EdgyClanName] taken a job they had deemed impossible; the assassination of an entire tribe of Goblins. Normally such a job would be impossible, over 90 goblins versus a clan of 7 assassins, even with the hundreds of years of collective training couldn't prepare them for such a task. A week after the task was accepted, the lord who had hired to clan got news that the troublesome tribe of goblins was wiped out, every single goblin dead, every single one with multiple knives wounds stuck in them. For months, rumor and myth took hold, as the townsfolk tried guessing how then did it. And so the myth of the valley where a hail of blades came from the sky to smite the horrible goblin tribe was formed, and like a myth, the clan of knife throwing assassins were forgotten to the common folk, but the elite know who to pay, when quantity is needed more then quality.

The Hail of Blades style of assassination is very different to most other styles, as they mostly focus on single target removal, picking off backline threats, or demolishing large threats, putting all of their effort into few attacks. Hail of Blades instead focuses on mass removal of weaker enemies, using a massive number of throwing knives, while still having some single target capabilities for if the occasion requires it.

Hail of Blades

Starting at 3rd level, your dexterity is put to the test, allowing you to throw several sleeves of knives at your enemies. You can throw up to your rogue level extra knives. You must be proficient in the throwing weapon you are using, and the weapon cannot be heavier then 1 lbs.

At 12th level you can throw up to double your rogue level extra knives, and at 20th level you can throw up to triple your rogue level extra knives.

Quick Reload

Starting at level 3, you've got fast hands, and sheaths made for speed. You can use your bonus action to pick up and put away any dagger or throwing knife within 10 feet without using any movement.

Knife Whisperer

At 9th level, you have gain the knowledge to make knives turn mid-air, and then some. Once per long rest, you can take 10 minutes to enchant a throwing knife or dart to become a Seeker Dart(PotA, page 223).

Laughing Ghost

At level 13, your connection to your throwing knives is creepy to some common folk. After hitting a target with three throwing knives while using Hail of Blades, you can use all of your movement (can not be used without full movement) and your reaction to dash to the knives regardless of distance. After dashing, you can throw, and subsequently dash to, another three knives, repeating until you run out of Hail of Blades throws.

Twist The Knife

When you reach 17th level, your blades seem to be lingering with the history of you and your clan, and twist in the wounds of your enemies as if haunted by a spirit. Using your bonus action, all knives you've thrown and have hit a creature will twist in the wound, dealing d6 d6 d6 Slashing damage.

You can only use this once per long rest.
