Base Class: Bard

College of Mimicry Bards feels like they can not succeed using their music, dances, art, etc. so instead of trying to grow they practice the art of mimicking and copying other's people music notes for notes. In this college, these bards use the art of trickery and plagiarism to stop foes and please their crowds. 

They usually live their lives in sadness being depressed and sometimes finding music a chore since all they do is mimic people. Others find join in perfectly replicating other's people's spells and performances with little to no effort. 

Not all of the bards are like this though, some find joy in using trickery to copy people's spells and tricks.

 

Impersonation

If you see someone do a performance you can memorize it in seconds and you can replicate that performance perfectly as long as you don't take a long rest before that point.

A performance could be a song, a dance, a poem, a speech, or anything up to the dungeon master's discretion.

Replicate Spell

At 3rd level, when a creature casts a spell up to the level listed below you can expend one is of Bardic Inspiration to use your reaction to also cast that spell using your instrument as a spellcasting focus. If the creature is unwilling it must make a Charisma Saving Throw against your spell dc, If the enemy succeeds you waste a bardic inspiration and don't cast the spell. When you use this ability you must drop concentration. When you cast this spell you can either choose the same target or pick a new one.

 Level Requirements:

Lv3 - Up to Level 1 Spells

Lv5- Up to Level 2 Spells

Lv9- Up to Level 3 Spells

Lv15- Up to Level 4 Spells

Lv17- Up to Level 5 Spells

Lv20- All Spells

 

 

Permanent Impersonation

At the 6th level, your impersonation skills greatly. When you witness someone cast a spell you up to the level listed below can learn that spell if you don't already know it. Once you learn it, you can use a Bardic Inspiration to cast that spell once per long rest. At the end of a long rest, you can choose if you want to forget this spell, not being able to cast unless you see someone cast it again, or if you want to remember the spell being able to cast it again.

 

Level Requirements:

Lv3 - Up to Level 1 Spells

Lv5- Up to Level 2 Spells

Lv9- Up to Level 3 Spells

Lv15- Up to Level 4 Spells

Lv17- Up to Level 5 Spells

Lv20- All Spells

 

Supreme Mimicry

At 14th Level, your mimicry skills improve rapidly so much when you copy someone you actually do a better job than the original. When casting a spell through Replicate spells you can choose one of the bonuses listed below and apply it to the spell.

Mimicry Bonuses:

Psychic Mimicry: If you copy a spell that does damage the spell will do an extra 2d8 of psychic damge.

Healing Mimicry: If you copy a spell that heals damage the spell will heal an extra 2d8 and give 5 temporary hit points.

Envious Mimicry: If a spell requires a saving throw your spell save dc would be one high then it usually is. (For example, if it's normally 17 it would be 18)

Mobile Mimicry: after casting a spell you can teleport up to 15 ft away.
