Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

You bear the brand of a powerful and twisted god or outsider – a great demon lord, a deity of war or evil, or some other unknowable being, that causes your blood to boil and your body to twist and distort when you rage. It’s likely that this “gift” of yours is in fact a curse for some transgression you or an ancestor of yours have committed in the past, though a select few entities may be insane enough to consider it a blessing. In battle, a barbarian of the Warp Spasm is a living storm of chaos and destruction, flailing grotesquely bloated limbs and spewing torrents of corrupted blood all over enemies and unfortunate allies alike. Ultimately, however, the Warp Spasm's greatest threat is to himself, as the mutilations their body undergoes when they rage put their very life in great peril.

Boiling Blood

Starting when you choose this archetype at third level, when you rage, your body nearly rips itself apart. Your skin tears itself open into gaping wounds through which your corrupted blood gushes in cascades. At the end of your turn, every creature within 10 feet of you takes damage equal to your level + your Constitution modifier, or half that damage if they succeed on a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your Constitution modifier + your proficiency bonus). Choose between fire damage if your blood is boiling hot, poison damage if your blood is toxic, acid damage if it is corrosive, or necrotic damage if it is cursed. Your DM may allow you to choose another damage type. At the same time, you also take bleeding damage equal to your level, that cannot be prevented or resisted in any way.

Unrelenting Agony

Also at third level, the pain you feel from your rupturing body makes you difficult to subdue. You cannot be charmed, frightened or put to sleep while raging, and you have advantage on Strength saving throws against effects that cause the Restrained condition.

Brutal Grotesque

Beginning at sixth level, when you rage, one or both of your arms swell to an unnatural size and strength. Instead of a weapon attack, you can make an unarmed attack that deals bludgeoning damage equal to 1d6 + your Strength modifier. This damage increases to 1d8 at 11th level and to 1d10 at 18th level. Additionally, if you use your action to make an attack and at least one of your hands is free, you may make an unarmed attack as a bonus action.

Living Massacre

Beginning at 10th level, the power of the entity that cursed you seeps through your entire body. While raging, your unarmed strikes now count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistances, and your Boiling Blood damage ignores resistance to the element you chose. Additionally, your unearthly strength allows you to wield two-handed weapons in one hand while you rage.

Walking Disaster

Beginning at 14th level, if you would fall in battle, the magical energies imbuing you surge out of control, turning you into a maelstrom of destruction that cannot be stopped, only outlasted.

If you would fall to 0 health in combat, whether you are raging or not, you are fully healed and automatically start a special rage known as a Warp Frenzy. While in a Warp Frenzy, you are immune to all damage except the bleeding damage caused by your Boiling Blood, and the damage dealt by Boiling Blood to you and other creatures is doubled, but a successful Constitution saving throw (DC 18) allows you to halve the damage to yourself. Healing spells have no effect on you while in a Warp Frenzy.

A Warp Frenzy ends automatically once the combat ends, at which point you automatically drop to 0 hit points and fall unconscious. If you fall at 0 hit points while in a Warp Frenzy as a result of losing all your hit points through the Boiling Blood feature, you bleed out and die (no saving throws to stabilize).

Once you have entered a Warp Frenzy, you cannot enter another one until you have finished a long rest.
