Shadow Stalker

The Shadow Stalker is a Roughish Archetype that excels at getting the drop on enemies, striking from the shadows and blind spots and targeting creatures that are alone. The Shadow Stalker helps the rogue kill from the darkness and use the shadows to the rogues advantage. If darkness surrounds you, beware the Shadow Stalker.

Assassinate

Starting at 3rd level, you are at your deadliest when you get the drop on your enemies. You have advantage on attack rolls against any creature that hasn’t taken a turn in the combat yet. In addition, any hit you score against a creature that is surprised is a critical hit.

The knife In Shadows

When you choose this archetype at 3rd level,  you become empowered while in dim light or darkness, bolstering your movement and stealth
While in dim light or darkness:

• Your speed is increased by 10ft
• Climbing costs no extra movement 
• You have a +2 to stealth checks 

Additionally you gain dark vision up to a range of 60ft if you don't already  

Alone In The Dark

Starting at 9th level, While targeting a creature that has no ally creatures within 15ft of it you deal double damage.

In addition whenever you kill a creature that has no ally creatures within 15ft of it, you gain the shadow step ability until the end of your next turn

Shadow Step: After you kill a creature that has no ally creature within 15ft of it, you gain this ability until the end of your next turn. You gain the ability to step from one shadow into another. When you are in dim light or darkness, as a bonus action you can teleport up to 60 feet to an unoccupied space you can see that is also in dim light or darkness.

Victim Of Darkness

At 13th level, You are one with the darkness and the darkness takes its victims, you become adept at killing when surrounded by dim light or darkness. Increase your Sneak attack damage die to d8s while you are dim light or darkness. 

Additionally Increase the range of your dark vision to 120ft if your dark vision isn't already 120ft.

Eternal Shadow

At 17th level, you gain the Eternal Shadow ability and can use it once per long rest as an action.

Eternal Shadow. Starting at 17th level, you can use your action to Unleash darkness upon the sky and around you causing dark clouds to block out the sun and all flames around you to be extinguished. You also become transformed as dark mist surrounds you and pours down from you.

• Eternal Shadow lasts one minute before everything reverts back to normal.
• When you use your action to use Eternal Shadow, clouds block out the sun and the sun provides no light within a 20 mile radius of where you used this ability
• All flames within 120 feet are extinguished 
• You become wreathed in mist and shadow ultimately becoming one with shadow and darkness
• You gain superior dark vision being able to see in darkness as if it was bright light for an unlimited range. you can also see through magical darkness
• You gain an additional use of your action so long as your in dim light or darkness.

Eternal Shadow lasts one minute and can only be used once per long rest.
