Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

The gods of the forge are patrons of those who create for a living. But sometimes, that livelihood is threatened. Sometimes, no amount of cooperation, compromise, or reasoning can sate the threat. Sometimes those who create for a living must destroy.

"You are what you worship. God of the volcano. Those who worship hold a volcano in the palm of their hand. It’s filled with prayers in my name. The power of fire is firepower. Not god, but godlike. And they believe. It fills their spirits every time they pull the trigger. They feel my heat on their hip and it keeps them warm at night."

–Vulcan, "A Murder of Gods"

In certain religions, the gods of the forge are also the gods of destruction, they teach that creation and destruction are two sides of the same coin. Without destruction, you cannot have the materials you need to create; and without creation, there is no meaning in life. Clerics of the firearm domain, embody the destructive domain of their deities. They take great pride in destroying threats to their way of life. Followers of the destructive domain forego heavy armor, and instead forge mighty firearms to blast apart their enemies. Deities of this domain include Vulcan, Georvyphat, Garyx, Kossuth, Talos, and Tharmekhûl.

Firearm Domain Spells

Bonus Proficiencies

At 1st level, you gain proficiency with firearms and tinker's tools.

Gun Priest

From 1st level, your god delivers bolts of inspiration to you while you are engaged in battle. When you cast a cantrip as an action, you can make one firearm attack as a bonus action.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

Channel Divinity: Bless Ammo

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to create and/or bless firearm ammo.

You conduct an hour-long ritual that crafts or upgrades magical bullets. You can create and/or upgrade a number of bullets equal to your wisdom modifier (a minimum of one). The creation is completed at the end of the hour, coalescing in an unoccupied space of your choice on a surface within 5 feet of you.

As part of this ritual, you must lay out the ammo that would be blessed. The ammo transforms into BLESSED AMMO at the ritual’s end.

BLESSED AMMO has the following benefits when used with a firearm:

  • When you decide to use this ammo, attack and damage rolls increase based on your wisdom modifier (a minimum of one).
  • On a hit, the creature takes an extra 1d8 of damage.
  • All damage done with the BLESSED AMMO is considered necrotic damage.
  • The magic of the ammo disappears if you use the Channel Divinity: Bless Ammo feature again or after your next rest.

Extra Attack

Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice using a firearm, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.

Divine Shot

At 8th level, you gain the ability to infuse your firearm weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 damage of the same type dealt by the weapon to the target. When you reach 14th level, you can cause the extra damage to happen twice on each of your turns.

Gun Saint

At 17th level, you have become an avatar of your god's wrath. When you cast a spell as an action, you can make two firearm attacks as a bonus action.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
