Wizard
Base Class: Wizard

You focus your study on altered states of consciousness wielding chaos itself. This chaos can be used to affect the minds and bodies of others usually towards the path of destruction and unraveling, but beware of manipulating others' states may also affect you...

Alter State

At 2nd level, you have limited potential from Gnosis which may be exerted in short bursts, you may use a reaction to obstruct an effect being placed on the mind or body of a creature you can see within 30 feet of you, by slightly altering their mind or body to the influence. You make this decision after you see whether their roll succeeds or fails. The effects include being: blinded, charmed, deafened, frightened, and stunned.

You can use the ability once per long rest. Upon reaching level 11 you may use the feature twice per long rest, and upon reaching level 17 three times per long rest.

Chaos Resileance

At 6th level, your mind and body are beginning to adapt and grow accustomed to the recoil of spells with a Gnostic nature. If chaos magic spells require you to make a save while casting, you now treat all saves as a success unless you willingly fail.

Enduce Gnosis

When you reach 6th level, as an action you can magically force a creature within 30 feet of you to make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. Unless the saving throw is a success, the creature is put into a hypnotic state, playing out events in their head how they would envision them transpire, while in reality they are incapacitated until the end of your next turn.

Horrify

Beginning at 10th level whenever you cast chaos magic, you can magically force the target to make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. Unless it is a success, the target takes 2d4 psychic damage at the beginning of each of its turns and they begin to see horrifying visions, and become frightened of every creature. They may attempt to save again at the end of each of their turns. Once the creature has saved, they are immune to this effect for the next 24 hours.

You may use this feature once per short or long rest.

Chaos Resistance

Starting 14th level, you have become resistant to the negative effects of chaos magic. When casting chaos magic you only take half the damage from the recoil dealt back to you, if the recoil damage to you requires a save, you take half of the half damage or 1/4 damage.

Id Gnosis

Starting 14th level, you are able to affect your own mind and body with Gnosis, enhancing your own ability. As an action, you can alter your state in either Mental Gnosis or Physical Gnosis for 1 minute, after the minute is over you gain one level of exhaustion.

Only by finishing a long rest can you remove a level of exhaustion gained in this way.

Mental Gnosis

While under the effects of Mental Gnosis:

You have an advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws.

and you are unable to be charmed or frightened.

Phsyical Gnosis

While under the effects of Physical Gnosis:

You gain advantage on all Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution saving throws.

and your speed doubles.
