Base Class: Sorcerer
You were born in the realm of Shadowfell. The power of shadow is in your blood and can be traced back to the Shadar-kai
<Notes>
This is still in playtest state. The latest version, I realized I made a mistake with Umbral reach and brought it into 2nd level so you can use it when you get sorcery points. This is supposed to be a key aspect of the way this character plays, so I wanted to make sure you get it earlier on. I combined it with Umbral Vision and reworded the title

Warped by Darkness
At 1st level, your connection to the Umbral forces of Shadowfell enhances your vision and makes you harder to detect when walking among shadows. You gain proficiency in stealth and gain a bonus to stealth checks equal to your Charisma modifier when in darkness or dim-light. In addition, you see normally in darkness, both magical and nonmagical, to a distance of 60 feet. While you are in dim light, or darkness, you can see around obstacles that would block normal vision (e.g., walls, doors, crates, etc.) so long as there is a path for light to potentially reach these areas (e.g., around corners, underneath doors, over crates, etc.). Areas behind these obstacles still provide benefits of cover, but do not count as obscured for purposes of stealth.
Shadow Weaponry
At 1st level, you gain proficiency with light armor.
When you reach 3rd level in this class, you can use a bonus action to weave together threads of shadow energy and create a shadow weapon in your empty hand(s). You can choose the form that this weapon takes each time you create it (see the Weapons section for weapon options). You are proficient with it while you wield it and you may use it as your arcane focus for your sorcerer spells. This weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.
Your shadow weapon disappears if it is more than 5 feet away from you for 1 minute or more, if you dismiss the weapon (no action required), or if you die. You may use this feature again to recall the weapon to your hand, or change its form.
You can transform one magic weapon into your shadow weapon by performing a special ritual while you hold the weapon. You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. You can then dismiss the weapon, shunting it into an extradimensional space, and it appears whenever you create your shadow weapon thereafter. The weapon ceases being your shadow weapon if you die, if you perform the 1-hour ritual on a different weapon, or if you use a 1-hour ritual to break your bond to it. The weapon appears at your feet if it is in the extradimensional space when the bond breaks.
You may use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for weapon attack and damage rolls made with your shadow weapon.
In addition, all damage done by your shadow weapon is psychic or necrotic instead of the normal damage type. You may choose the type of damage each time you create your shadow weapon.
Umbral Reach
While you are in dim-light or darkness, you may use a bonus action to reach through shadows and temporarily occupy a different location. Choose an unoccupied location you can see within 60 feet. Until the end of your next turn, you may act as if you occupied that space when performing ability checks, interacting with objects or performing the [Tooltip Not Found] action.
Shadow Weaving
At 6th level, you begin to weave shadow magic into your spells to empower them with a touch of Shadowfell. When you do necrotic or psychic damage , you may reroll a number of the damage dice up to your Charisma modifier (minimum of one), or regain hitpoints equal to your Charisma modifier. If you choose to reroll damage, then you must keep the new roll.
In addition, when you cast a spell using your shadow weapon as an arcane focus, you may spend 2 sorcery points to replace the damage of the spell with psychic or necrotic damage. You may choose the damage type each time you use this ability.
Shadow Walk
At 14th level, you embrace the traits of the shadow and appreciate the continuity that exists in all darkness. You ignore the effects of gravity while standing on a surface, much like the shadows cast upon ceilings and walls. You gain the following:
- Your movement speed increases by 10 feet.
- You permanently gain the effects of spider climb.
- When you use your Umbral Reach feature, you may choose to teleport to the location selected and use the allowed actions from the space you left. You may also spend 2 sorcery points to bring additional creatures with you as part of the teleport. Choose up to your charisma modifier (minimum of 1) in additional willing creatures that are within 10 feet of you. Any creature you bring with you has the effects of spider climb until the end of your next turn as they are engulfed in shadows.
Agent of Darkness
Starting at 18th level, you become a true agent of darkness. You gain immunity to psychic and necrotic damage. While you wield your shadow weapon, you wrap yourself in surrounding shadow, constantly shifting and any attacks against you have disadvantage.
You may spend 3 sorcery points to imbue your shadow weapon with a powerful spell. As an action, you can imbue your shadow weapon with one sorcerer spell you can cast or is already active, then make a single attack with that weapon. If that attack hits, all spell attack rolls for the imbued spell hit the target automatically and are considered part of the single weapon attack. The target takes weapon damage, and is subject to the effects of the spell, expending a spell slot accordingly. If the attack has advantage, then all the target’s saving throws against the spell have disadvantage. If the attack misses, the spell has no effect. Area spells originate from the target’s space.
The spell must be of 1st level or higher, have a casting time of 1 action, or require an action to activate an already active concentration spell.
