Base Class: Barbarian
A barbarian who has infused themselves with poisons that release into the body while raging. Will often choose to empower an enemy in order to weaken them in other ways.
Corrupt Rage
Beginning at 3rd level, when you rage, you become inflicted with the Poisoned status. The status remains until your rage ends.
You also gain the ability to corrupt others with your touch. While raging, as an action you may expend 1 Hit Dice to channel your corruption into an enemy you touch for 1d8 poison damage and apply the Poisoned status. This can be as part of a grapple or unarmed attack, but not as part of a melee attack.
This damage raises to 1d12 at level 10.
Corrupted Spellcasting
Starting at 3rd level, you gain the ability to control your rage enough in order to cast limited spells. While raging, you may cast one of the following spells on a creature:
- Cure Wounds
- Jump
- Longstrider
In addition to the buffs provided by these spells, you inflict 1d8 poison damage. You may also expend one 1 Hit Dice to deal an extra 1d8 poison damage and inflict the Poisoned status. These raise to 1d12 at level 10.
Use the Arcane Trickster Rogue sub-class Spellcasting Table to determine spell slots.
Corrupted Shield
Starting at 6th level, whenever you are Poisoned, a noxious aura emanates from your skin, obscuring your form. Creatures find it more difficult to attack you and you gain +1 to your Armor Class.
This raises to +2 AC at level 10.
Expanded Spellcasting
At level 7, you gain access to the following spells while raging:
- Barkskin
- Enhance Ability
- Spider Climb
In addition to the buffs provided by these spells, you inflict 1d8 poison damage. You may also expend one 1 Hit Dice to deal an extra 1d8 poison damage and inflict the Poisoned status. These raise to 1d12 at level 10.
Use the Arcane Trickster Rogue sub-class Spellcasting Table to determine spell slots.
Spreading Corruption
Beginning at 10th level, whenever you would roll 1d8 in order to inflict poison damage, you may now roll 1d12 instead. Your Corrupted Shield also now gives a total of +2 to your Armor Class.
You can also take the Dash action as a bonus action while you are raging. Any creatures you pass within 5 feet, friend or foe, must roll a CON save with a DC of 10 or become inflicted with the Poisoned status.
Corrupt Retribution
Starting at 14th level, when a creature within 5 feet of you hits you with a melee attack, the attacker takes 1d6 poison damage if you are raging.
