Cleric
Base Class: Cleric

The Wealth Domain represents commerce, merchants, trade, and treasure. Clerics of Wealth engage intimately with the institutions of their deities, helping one another ascend to higher status and splendor in the process. Given the riches a Cleric of Wealth may accrue in their lifetime, robbers and thieves often target these servants of the divine.

Clerics of Wealth believe that a deal is sacred, ingenuity is precious, and coin holds the power for real change. Those who would try to cheat the terms of a divine contract quickly learn the weight behind a signature. Though information, favors, and secrets may not all have an intrinsic gold value, Clerics of Wealth do their best to evaluate such treasures for the purposes of trading with the divine.

Blessed Investment

Starting when you choose this domain at 1st level, you can use a bonus action to pull out up to 5 gold as an investment, all of which promptly disappear from your hand. Once before this blessing ends, when you make a Charisma (Persuasion) check, you can add a number equivalent to the amount of gold you invested to the outcome of the check. This blessing lasts for 1 hour or until you use this feature again.

Channel Divinity: Eternal Bank

Starting at 2nd level, you can use your Channel Divinity to access your Eternal Bank. The first time you use this feature, you also learn the sigil sequence for your Eternal Bank, which can be used by anyone casting a teleportation circle spell.

As an action, a shimmering portal appears in front of you which allows standard currencies such as copper, silver, and gold coins to be deposited and withdrawn. This portal is connected to an Eternal Bank controlled by your deity, and you can choose to deposit and withdraw currency from your Eternal Bank as part of your action. The portal disappears when your transaction is complete or at the end of your current turn. Your Eternal Bank is absolutely secure so long as your deity remains strong, and only you can add or withdraw currency from it. The bank starts with 50 gold inside, which you are able to withdraw.

Channel Divinity: Sacred Loan

Starting at 6th level, you can use your Channel Divinity to take out a Sacred Loan.

As an action, a shimmering portal connected to an invulnerable servant of your deity manifests in front of you. You can take out a loan of up to 500 gold, in increments of 100 gold. The money is instantly transported into your inventory, and is considered to be yours until you finish a long rest. The portal closes when this transaction is complete or at the start of your turn.

When you finish a long rest, a servant of your deity opens a portal in front of you and you must return an amount of gold equivalent to the amount of your Sacred Loan. If you pay back any less than the full value of your Sacred Loan, you cannot take another Sacred Loan for 1d4 long rests and you are subject to a punishment outlined in the Sacred Debt table based on the amount of gold you still owe. The punishment is unavoidable and cannot be mitigated.

401-500 Gold

You instantly gain 5 stacks of exhaustion and all of the currency within your Eternal Bank is seized by your deity, depleting your Eternal Bank balance.

Divine Strike

At 8th level, you gain the ability to make your weapon strikes rumble like a bag of gold — a gift from your deity. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 thunder damage to the target. When you reach 14th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.

Devout Discount

At 17th level, when you are going to cast a spell, you can pray to your deity for a boon to your spellcasting. If the spell has material components with a set gold cost, roll 1d10. Divide the material cost of the spell by the number you rolled, and round up. Providing an amount of gold equivalent to this number will satisfy the material components for this casting of the spell. The gold provided will disappear when you cast a spell in this way. If you do not cast this spell within 24 hours, your Devout Discount disappears and the spell will need to be cast as normal.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (a minimum of once). You regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
